Is this product useful in BCA studying student?

Thin, light weight, great screen and good battery backup. Metal finish is extremely good. Keyboard and touchpad are fine, not that great. SSD performance is very good, installed Debian-9 with dual boot. Boot and shutdown speeds are less than 10sec. Processor speed is also fine, not extremely good but good enough for daily usage. It doesn't have any fan and it is noiseless. It gets little bit hot near the lid hinge upon loading the processor, the metal finish acts as a heatsink. It is extremely good for travel and business purposes. Only drawback is 4gb ram.

Perfect for travel and office work.Screen is really good.

**Update 27-Jan-2018** Only concerning issue I faced is that the trackpad behaves very wired at times. I recommend using a mouse. Apart from that no issues. Performance is even better after the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. Pros: 1. Excellent build quality with premium looks. 2. Fast SSD performance. Boots in under 10 secs and apps open very quickly. 3. 7th Gen Core M processor gives long battery life. Getting 9-10 hrs for an average user. 4. Balance of price and features is best among all competitors. 5. Backlit keyboard with 3 levels of brightness and excellent key travel. Makes for an awesome typing experience. Neutral: 1. Very good display 1080p with wide angle view and excellent color gamut. Its NOT an IPS panel though and is somewhat anti-glare. 2. 256 GB SSD may not be enough for all users.(But, it is upgradeable!). Best buy an external HDD for storage. 3. Trackpad is not top of the line but still very responsive. Cons: 1. 4GB RAM that is soldered onto the motherboard. No slots for expansion. 4GB is just enough for casual web and multimedia user. 2. Speakers are good but bottom firing. So overall experience is somewhat okay-ish. 3. Gets quite warm sometimes, specially when rendering 4K or1080p x265 videos.

Advantages of This Ultra Books: 1. Ligthest ultra book in it's class(I.e. in this price segment 2. Excellent Battery Life 3. Quick Charging 4. All Metal Body 5. Very Nice Look and Feel THE ONLY ISSUE I FACED TILL DATE(after 2 Months of Usage) WAS WITH TRACK-PAD. SOMTIMES IT BECOMES VERY DIFFICULT TO OPERATE IT'S TRACPAD

this is awesome ...it has very good display ,super fast performance ,long life battery .i have given 4 stars as it has a problem .when we r using the laptop we should not charge the laptop, when we charge it while using the laptop its getting over heated .and its sound quality is low...while compare to others but it has superbly works on microphones.

Excellent laptop with terrible trackpad.

A laptop with many merits: classy looks, exceedingly light and portable, sprightly performance, and- as far as I know- one of the cheapest to possess a backlit keyboard (a must in my book). The only real flaw is that the system tends to get pretty warm with extended use or multitasking. Overall, a very worthwhile machine.

Go for it if portability is what you want.The specifications are perfect for normal usage. The design is beautiful, the laptop itself is very light. Battery life is superb. Look elsewhere if gaming and heavy usage is what you want.Trackpad is terrible.

The only and biggest con of this laptop is 4gb ram that is soldered onto motherboard. I would have gladly paid even upto 7k for that feature. Its disappointing that ASUS is launching a laptop in 2017 with 4gb non upgradeable RAM for 50k. Otherwise the non availability of other colours, a screen which is somewhat wobbly when pushed a little bit by the lid and rubbish speaker placement are the only other cons I can think of.Still I absolutely love the laptop for stellar battery life and build quality. Fanless design is a pro too and and native hardware acceleration for 10bit HEVC X265 and VP9 are great as its a 7th gen laptop. It is really fast with 256gb SSD and thats what makes me hate the RAM pinching even more.

Review:1 - (Display Panel-Type) The laptop has a Anti-glare/Matte Panel which is completely opposite of what's written on its specification page. (Source - Asus India website) . According to it, the mentioned display type is Glare Panel, but thelaptop has a Anti-Glare/Matte Panel.2 - (Hinge-Issue) The screen hinge is too loose to even operate properly. It automatically moves and completely opens up if I tilt the laptop a little in upside position.3 - SSD(Hynix made) read speed is around 500mbps but write is near about 230mbps. This could have been much much better.4 - RAM is 3.9GB usable which can be bothering you soon. Can't understand the logic behind this move by Asus. It has a 8GB variant almost everywhere else in the World. Why to carry this bold stunt? It's a DDR3 variant FYI.

IT HAS BEEN 36 DAYS. ASUS UNABLE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. POST SELL SERVICE HORRIBLE. NEVER GO FOR M PROCESSOR LAPTOP SPECIALLY ASUS MAKE. INTEL HAS CHANGED THE NAME OF M5 PROCESSOR TO i5y series & i7y SERIES. BE WARE . DONT BE FOOLISH. 03/10/2017After two and half month of service suddenly the display stop functioning.Contact service center, asked me to submit it for change of display and its required connecting wires.They did it but still the problem not resolved.It has been 36 days, the issue is as it was. Laptop is with them. I am really disappointed. They just ask me to wait. They have change it twice. Very poor service in india. In other country they are selling higger model of this with 8GB ram. A deffective model with 4 GB RAM are selling in India with higher price, seems stock clearence.Regional manager called me once and ask me to wait. It is only for evad his resposibility.Dont go for 4GB RAM.

Don't buy. Defective model. Motherboard problem started from d second day after purchase.

Horrible experience with flipkart. Received a defective piece and the response for replacement is the worst. Its more than a week time no solution and they are not worried for their customers.
