I did not need a high-end, super-powered laptop, or another awful, low-end one. This laptop is right in the middle.I?m self-employed and an aspiring author. I usually have multiple document windows open for editing or business, a browser and several background apps running, while listening to music. Multitasking is smooth, it hasn?t frrozen or required a restart. The sound is decent through wireless headphones.I haven?t run the battery down yet, but I think I could get six to eight hours of unplugged time from it. The built-in SD card reader is convenient. The display quality is adequate. This laptop gets along with my iPhone 8, HP OfficeJet printer, Chromecast and external backup drive. I use an external keyboard and wireless mouse, so I can?t tell you what it?s like to use the on-board keys or trackpad for any length of time. The laptop is relatively light with a sleek look. As of now I?m content with it.Edit, January 6, 2020 - I?m still happy with this laptop.

The computer was as described

The reviews for this laptop are not geared to one style type or processor type which is misleading. I have the AMD A12 and it boots very fast and runs very well. Have had no problems at all once it was set up.It did have a minor setup problem which may have been my fault. Since that time it has performed very well. This may not be a top of the line laptop but for me and my family it is perfect. I can't speak for its gaming quality as I don't do any gaming. It isn't a touch screen either so I can't rate that either.

So far, excellent laptop! Needed something to do graphic design with and this does the job. Good processer.

Bought this for my 17 yr old son for Christmas. He is happy with the features. This makes his second ASUS computer, the other one was a really good one also. He likes the size of the screen and said the keyboard was very easy to type on.

I use this in my travels for school work and light gaming. I really like it, but if you mess with the programs that are on there by default it can cause big issues. Even something that has nothing to do with software. Either way it does the job. I have trouble booting to usb drives though. So theres that

Item met my expectations

I have had this for about a month and am very happy with it. No complaints at all.

Just needed to update 10 year old work computer for my truck, only run work websites, great upgrade from old computer, this one is outdated too, but works great and fast, quick start up. Display colors just little off but overallgood computer

I've used ASUS for the last 10 years with no regrets.

I'm not tech savvy, but this computer serves my basic home computer needs as well as my son's Roblox and Minecraft games.

On the used market, this laptop is great, otherwise, I'd skip it. The battery last about 1:30 to 2 hours. I found the laptop to be quite slow and the resolution to not be up to par with other laptops of this price range.Lastly, the screen itself was not very secure and had a lot of give to it; this is not a laptop I'd expect to survive a small drop.

Great Laptop. It was very easy to setup. It is very quick. This is a great Laptop at the price. It has a nicecolorful screen that is easy to view. The battery holds powerfor a long time.

I love my computer but the touch screen doesn?t work as well as it did on my previous computer so I don?t waste my time trying to get it to work.

The computer is used for 1 hour every week with excel. It does what I expected. I don't need high speed.

im not really computer literate.i could use more instructional info about the device in general.

I hope they would have longer battery life. Other than that, it is a good computer.

No 5G WiFi, Weird, nonstandard Key board layout. Intended for gaming with Quad CPU and high density display.

The computer is beautiful but works very slow?

I use it for general purpose surfing and email. Discovered that the USB 3.0 slots do NOT recognize USB 2.0 devices, which prevented use as a radio control computer. Had to wipe the hard drive to install Linux (it wouldn't allow dual-boot).

Not quite as fast as I expected with a dedicated video board - but it will do. Seems to run fine and boot up quickly. Not sure why there is a touch screen question in the rating features - this doesn't have a touch screen.

Battery life is terrible. Probably going to end up leaving plugged in and use like a desktop.
