When my usual browsing, I just noticed that a notebook with all usual requirements with very lowest price. That was amazing. I got this thing @Rs 17,120/- That was an amazing deal. Celeron dual core is an entry level but this one for my kids. CDC, 2GB RAM, 15.6" Screen, DVDRW, Full size Chiclets keyboard. Great ASUS....Great Flipkart.

Best Config in this price, I installed windows 7 in it and it works pretty well. Built is really good. I would rate 4/5 for its looks. At this price I would rate it 5/5 for its configuration. Built and robustness 5/5 Battery backup 3.5/5 Overall Rating 5/5 I must say it is a pretty good product in this price range.

I got this for 17,500 from ws retail, excellent price !!! My whole review is based on the price of my purchase. 1. Processor: This is a 1.5ghz 3rd gen processor. 3rd gen matters a lot because with the change in every generation comes newer cpu instructions, so it may sound 1.5ghz but its ~25% faster than the 2nd gen version with same speed !!! This cpu is "U" variant and has lower power consumption so it is slightly slower than the regular "M" versions !!! Gets the work done for basic browsing and watching HD movies. 2. Ram: 2GB is good enough for moderate browsing !!! Its funny that my mobile has the same amount of ram :p 3. Video adapter: Here they have mentioned that its "Intel HD 4000" but its only "HD Graphics". Check the processor specs on Intel site. 4. Built Quality: It is total Plastic with good finishing, always keep in mind that plastic is lighter than other materials. Overall built quality is very good at this price. This same chassis is used in the i3 model which costs ~30k. It has ONLY 2 indication lights power and charging, NO capslock, numpad, dvd rom light !!! 5. Windows 8 32bit & drivers: I have successfully installed windows 8 32bit in ~20-30mins without any issues. Asus has no support for 32bit windows, forget XP! !! You basically need no drivers for video, wifi, touchpad, etc. But you can always find them on lenovo or acer website, Search for the model with celeron cpu. In my case i downloaded from acer website by selecting Acer Aspire V5-131as they both have same Intel HM70 chipset and processor, Thanks to ACER :) 6. Overall weight & Charging adapter: Laptop weighs pretty light considering it has built in DVD Rom(Matshita). The charger is in one piece !!! Just put the square shaped block in the socket and you are good to go. Ultra portable !! This is a big + 7. Battery: Performance is average ~2-3 hrs, what else can we expect from 4cell battery ? 8. Windows revelations: I have successfully installed Windows XP and Windows 7(both 32bit) with no issues so far. Windows XP needs only audio, video(not important) and wireless drivers afaik. You can get XP drivers by searching for its device manufacturer's site for eg: Audio is Realtek, Video is Intel and WLAN is Atheros. I use XP for an old Dos program so it is obvious if you are installing XP then you will not be utilizing this product to its fullest. I have no choice because i have to use a dos program which does not go fullscreen in Win8 :( Cons: only 2 usb ports. touch pad is not great. Viewing angles are pathetic. In-built battery. no caps lock and numpad indication lights. Speakers are worst part of this laptop. I also happen to own Asus X551CA-SX075D Laptop (3rd Gen CDC/ 2GB/ 500GB/ DOS) got it from snapdeal. This whole review is applicable to it except for it has a poor chassis texture in white and does not have a dvd rom.

I am using this one for last 2 week. Till now its more than fine. Battery back up is good, almost 4 hours idle. 2.5 hours surfing/watching movie. Never tested with photoshop, but Msoffice, media players etc works fine. 2 gb ram is sufficient for smooth running of win 8, processor speed is okay while surfing and watching movies. Only con is you have to use Windows 8 or 8.1 as there is no available driver for Win7. Audio quality is normal, as usual not loud, I dont know why now a days laptop speakers are less efficient than mobile phone's. But inbuilt mic and camera is good for chatting. Overall it gives more with this money, so we can give 5 stars value for money.

I have purchased this laptop and installed win 7, win 8, & win 8.1, but my bluetooth and wifi are not working. Please anyone tell me, is any driver needed for this?

I can say normally its good product but some features had not been done to existing.Its caps lock button is not blinging during the pressing time and USB port had only two so that when we injecting the dongle as well as the pen drive not comfortable to be used.Otherwise its OK to say . A laptop in 20K! A dream come true, but only if you are dreaming about an 15 inch screen to watch movies and net surfing! Let's get the basics straight! It is a laptop with Celeron Dual Core processor, a technology that is on it's way of being obsolete. The most it can accommodate is Windows7. You try to install Win8 and it will prove why it is going obsolete. It is ideal for watching videos at 720p, internet surfing and small scale work like using word/excel/ppt etc. Pros: Cost! Very cheap! Good battery life 15 inches of screen Not too bulky 720p videos run smoothly (if graphic drivers are installed properly) Cons: Not for extensive work Less likely to support Win8 Only 2 small LEDs for Laptop ON indicator and Power?Battery ON/OFF indicator. No NUM lock/CAPS lock indicators. Touchpad not so great. ASUS has this problem for almost all its laptops. If you are willing to overlook these things, it is a good laptop in 20K!

emits lot of heat Battery drains out very quickly Right click and left click are disasters Hangs at regular intervals caps on / off LED is not available keyboard is ok Not at all good. you will NOT be provided with motherboard and driver CDs Please please please dont buy, i have used Lenovo & dell, lenovo is far better in all aspects.

Very bad lap ..

Worst Laptop I have ever used Please dont waste your money ... Like I did by mistake Install Win 8 and it will start getting hang within 30 days

I bought it and paid for it in cash yesterday through Flipkart. And the computer never started. So I started the process to have it returned yesterday. Almost 24 hours have passed by but I have not received a call yet. So I called up the Flipkart guys and they told me that THEIR system has been updated with the message that the customer would be contacted on 4th. The lady told me her name as Mahajabeen. Then when I shouted about this attitude, I was told that I would be called in another half an hour i.e. by 7 PM on 25 July 2014. The call would be about understanding what the problem is and refunding the money. I await their call and am getting a bad feeling about this. Last time on FlipKart. They are quick on taking money and non-functional on instructing a refund for a bogus product that was received in a damaged condition and was not working from the word 'Go'.
