Purpose: I purchased this one from Asus for Office use. Main advantages i saw at the time of ordering were the size, weight(lessness) and price. Now here is the review: Pros: 1. Build - Good build quality. Feels strong while holding it. Front lid is glossy. Even after 3-4 hours of use, didn't heat up much. 2. Size - It's a 11 inch screen which is just enough for my work which involves a lot excel sheet. So am satisfied, The lower size makes it super portable and the less than one kg of weight just adds to the whole portability thing, 3. Software - Comes with Windows 8.1 and mine also came with one year Office 365 subscription. Didn't take much long to activate Office. Didn't feel much lag with Word, Excel and Chrome all opened at the same time. I had also installed couple of secuirty suits too. Still performance was good. No lag what so ever. 4. Battery - Solid. 10 Hours shouldn't be a problem (brightness not at 100% and without using an external mouse) Cons: 1. Memory - Although they say that its 32 GB, memory available to user is 20GB. After installing Office, two security softwares, Chrome and creating one more user, the free space available came down to approx 12 GB. There is a microSD Card to expand storage. Please note that when you consider the price, this is not something you should complain about. Conclusion: SATISFIED!

It has been a week I am using this nice and compact machine and it is really pleasant to use. It is really lightweight and the battery life is more than 10 hours. It is good looking as well and Windows 8.1 is also easy to use and performs well. This is a perfect device to use as it offers mobility and can be carried easily anywhere. Asus should be commended for this device and I can recommend it to anyone looking for a value for money and portable device offering good performance.

This is the best budget laptop that feels premium. I bought the White version and its a beauty! I needed a laptop with good battery life, fast processing for MS Office package, space for few of my software and a good Video/Audio streaming speed. This machine has ticked ALL the boxes that I needed. I bought a 32 GB memory card along with it, so my work doesn't suffer due to storage issues. A machine that actually works for 'Intermediate' user looking to work with less demanding software. It actually feels so light and classy that you tend to treat it as a premium machine. 5 star performance. And of course, Flipkart delivered it within 24 hours, they were at their usual brilliant self.

I bought the white one and have been using it for 3 weeks. Pros: The built quality is far superior to my 30k Sony Vaio. Small and sleek Battery life is outstanding Screen is well lit and the sound is very good. Boot time is very fast and internet surfing is smooth, ms office has also worked smoothly so far. Cons: Lack of storage, Only two ports and very close by. Lack of 3.0 usb port. Overall I am totally satisfied with the Eeebook. :)

please anybody share an idea...regarding the skype video calling quality of this product...it's urgent...plz

I AM NOT HERE TO REVIEW THE PRODUCT.. Because I haven't Received it.. I placed the order 20 days back (approx) when it was in pre-order Stage. Now 3 days after product has released my order status still says 'Will ship once released'. Worst Part is that If anyone else or even I place an order now (When the product is now Available) We can get it in 3 days.People have received the white version (Reviewed by Mithun Sharma 5th Feb). I Called up customer care 3 Times.They said will ship once available / will ship after 12 Days of Release. What is the use of pre-ordering. Its a Humble Request to Flipkart managers. I have been using this machine for past two weeks. Atom quad core is super fast and gives good battery life(9 -11 hrs). Keyboard is compact and touch pad is fine(i'm not a fan of fully flat touchpad without separate keys for click). Weighing little higher than Chetan Bhagat's novel it'll be easy to carry with. Exactly a chromebook replacement. Strictly for people who don't use their machine for anything other than browsing and little word processing with a little video here and there. Also comes with a year of Office 365 subscription.

I am feeling proud to have it. It is so light, handy and easy to use. It'll be better to have some more accessories of this lappy are available on flipkart so that we can make it better. Overall the performance is good and fast. I love to use it and can take any where even to my workplace easily. The price of lappy is also reasonable as well as the software which are provided with it are good. We can use external hard disk or drive for our convenience. I'll suggest it to all service persons want to have a trendy lifestyle with this one.

A very Good Netbook this price range, Display and processor speed and design is very good. Battery is really amazing. Cool and silent laptop. I am strongly recommended for basic internet surfing and small pc work. only one negative in build user memory is 18gb only but you can expand memory card or external hard disk.

The laptop has stunning build quality. Ultra thin,Looks like a mini ultrabook. And the performance is awesome.Intel atom quad core and 2 gb ddr3 ram handle any task with ease. Browsing and movie experience is awesome. And Original Windows 8.1(approx 6.5k) and office 365(approx 3.5k), total 10k software is free with it. Its a awesome deal for 14.5k.You will also get 1tb one drive storage and 500gb asus web storage.Feeling like a don. I purchased the white one for my husband .. It is lightweight, processor speed is good.Loved it.Although it is a good laptop for frequent traveller.

Hi, everyone surely advise to buy this laptop if mobility or battery backup is concerned. I bought this laptop when HDFC card 10% offer was there and paid 13500/-. Battery backup is excellent, it lasts at least for 8 hours without any issue. Weight is less and people who would like to carry their laptop to and fro may go for this.

Ok, laptop arrived today, was scheduled to arrive on 27th of May but received on 22nd of May... Wow ! You have probably read the reviews so I am not gonna go into the details. I am just going to point out three things. 1. The white model is NOT a finger print magnet ! I have seen the blue one in Youtube videos and though the blue one is a finger print magnet I can confirm the white one has no such issues. THE WHITE ONE HAS A METALLIC UPPER COVER TOO, unlike the blue one. 2. I had read another comment that office 365 is not included, I can confirm this is not the case, the serial key is provided in the package and this is how Microsoft is shipping their products recently. 3. Please do not operate this laptop in temperatures above 35 degree Celsius to get the best of battery life, if used above this temperature battery life will decrease significantly as this laptop is designed to operate in 5 to 35 degrees Celsius, people who are not getting 8 to 10 hrs to battery life, it is because of the temperature you are working in, its currently 41 degrees Celsius in Kolkata :( Overall I am impressed with this White Model. One more thing, this laptop is designed to do light things, it has a 64 bit processor but it comes with a 32 bit operating system to use the Ram more efficiently, it works smooth because it uses a 32 bit OS with 2 GB ram. Do NOT USE LINUX WITH THIS LAPTOP. It's not Linux compatible, you will face several issues if you use Linux, and more than 80% of the laptop will be unusable. If you want a laptop that could get your office and browsing needs done then close your eyes and get this one. And a big kudos to FLIPKART for delivering so fast.

Well at 15k you are getting the best specs. I have nothing to complain as I know the hardware before buying. For people who want to buy this, note that screen is not an IPS display and you will find it hard to view at varied angles, also sometimes it might stress your eyes with high reflective brightness. Doesn't mean that screen is bad or anything but its just that you will find it hard to adapt if you are used to IPS displays. As stated, excellent product.

this is what i found in last 24 hours. i am a laptop user since 2006. i know on exactly what purpose a laptop is fruitful. this machine is a blast. comparing with others in similar price range, this takes the lead for sure. used 14hrs in a single charge with net surfing, music played through external speaker, youtube videos, word processing and discovering new features. i doubt u feel any noticeable warmth while placing on your lap.completely sound less. display is very descent with a good range of brightness. the beast comes with win 8.1 licence and office 365 (1year for office). u can also activate the same office subscription on your android phone and on a tablet. internal speakers can be little louder but the quality is too good. finally the design of the body, back panel, Chiclets keyboard and macbook like full sized trackpad are very promising. Finally ASUS has came up with a need based compact computing. and one last thing, if u have that much wifi connection, u better store ur files with 1TB Microsoft One Drive cloud storage. it is so easy to access from around the world.

Flipkart is best .... Asus EeeBook is much better than i thought....after all for 15k what you expect. Look wise this is awesome performance is great...but only one thing i didn't like is about only 18 GB memory was available initially... BUT overall it is cool... i bought white ebook...

This is a really nice product and has a premium feel due to the good quality of the materials used, it is certainly a must buy for the quoted price, been using it for the past 2 months and haven't faced any issues as of now, no lags of any sort either. Low end and Average sized games work like a breeze without any issues but bigger games cannot be played as it will not be supported due to the low specs of the laptop. Even though it does not have high end specs it does its job really well and can be used for most of the daily activities, the main drawback of the product is its storage capacity.

I was very happy to receive the eeBOOK within 24 hrs of placing the order. The eeeBook is a great laptop/notebook from ASUS. The design is very sleek, light weight and works pretty well. The screen and the keyboard are pretty well made. The large touch pad is excellent. On boot up I faced issue. It asked for a microsoft account. On clicking "Create a new account" it went into a "Please wait..." mode and didnt seem to recover. Luckily when I turned off the wireless LAN modem at home the eeebook continued with the setup procedure! Later I noticed that the issue was that this laptop was not connecting to internet via my teracom Type-2 DSL modem. It kept giving the "Limited Connection" msg. I tried many tips suggested by different people on internet. None of them seemed to work. However the eeeBook was connecting to internet through another access point created by a mobile phone or Pandora Portonics. To my delight the next day when I started the machine it connected to the internet properly through the same teracom ADSL type-II modem!! I am not sure what happened. Maybe multiple boot ups over one day might have helped. I cannot say! Everything is fine now. Windows 8.1 OS looks great on this machine. It is a very good value for money laptop as it comes preloaded with Windows 8.1 and the MS office tools get activated by simply connecting to internet! Thanks a lot!

This is the best laptop in this price. Great combination of beauty and power. ASUS is one of most promising brands in the market. They are in search of incredible. and providing us the incredible gadgets. Great battery life and light weight are the pros which I loved the most. If u are looking for a great laptop at this price range...this is the best option available. Worth buying laptop JUST GO FOR IT...!!!!

1. Processor It is only a 1.33 GHz Atom processor. Overclockable or not, it doesn't matter. Also, thinking that "quad core" is something that is gonna help a lot, no it doesn't. The processor is slow, and the ONLY con of this laptop. The good: It helps to save battery. The light weight processor means that battery life is amazingly increased. The boundary: 1080p movies and videos do not play at full settings. VLC struggled like a small child to play 1080p videos. I installed SMPlayer, and changed some rendering and caching settings, and the 1080p videos played just fine. So yeah, things are doable, but you ought to work around a bit, because the processor is slow, but the integrated intel graphics and RAM are just fine and up to the mark. 2. Memory (RAM) The bad: None. 2 GB RAM is good enough at this price. The good: With windows 8.1 (Windows 10 is arriving in july end) occupying ~700-800 MB RAM, and ~1 GB free, almost every mid-memory task can be done at ease. The boundary: None. 3. Battery Life Ah, this is something without a "The bad" section. Battery is just a piece of art. Easily gives 10-12 hours on light usage, say, browser, music, with torrents in BG, using ~50% Processor power. Mind you, processor usage does go till 100%, and with the usage of GPU too (Gaming!), the battery lasts 5-6 hours. That is expected. 4. Weight and size This was one of the major reason I bought this (along with the battery life!). It just weights 980g. That is a couple hundred grams lighter than the Macbook air 11 inch model. So yeah, a crystal clear comparison. 5. Storage Uses 32gb SSD, out of which ~20gb is free for the user. Believe me, 32gb SSD > 500gb hard disk, considering this machine. The SSD is amazingly fast, and hence, it is a perfect combo for this laptop. With lightweight, amazing battery life, you just got amazing speed. Boots up in 10s. Wakes up from sleep in

It was deliverd next day and working great. I am surprised why people buy other heavy and costly laptops. The only issue with this laptop is that the base shows this to be X205T model, the sticker near touch pad shows this to be X205TA. This confused me and initially I ordered for replacement, which Flipcart readily agreed, but after lots of google search and study I decided to accept this and cancelled replacement. Yet I would appreciate a clarification, though I am very happy with this purchase. The touch pad is unique, gives a sense of working on mobile screen. One can have various gestures, 2-finger, 3- finger and very very useful in scrolling the screen, scrolling thru open windows, enlarging, pinching etc.

Me and my son are using two pieces of these. Far, far better than than its competitors. Excellent for daily work including MS office, internet, watching movies and listening to music. Amazing battery backup. No heating issues. Fast and flawless performance. No lags at all. I use pen drive and external HDD with it. Perfect in every way for common daily office or business use. The only thing lacking from Asus is more advertisement of their products.

I had promised myself not to buy anything from flipkart(Because of refurbished products received from them in the past) unless absolutely necessary. As no other online retailer is authorised to sell this Netbook due to Asus tie-up with flipkart, I was not having any option but to purchase from Flipkart. I am glad to have bought this Notebook. . Best suits my need of light weight compact Notebook without compromising on features. The pros that stand out are its light weight, brilliant screen producing very good visuals, superb ergonomically designed keyboard which makes typing a pleasure even on a small 12 inch Notebook like this and equally complemented by the Win 8.1 OS which has a boot up time of 10 secs flat. All the programs I ran worked without any lag whatsoever although I have not tried memory and processor intensive programs like AutoCAD(I have a separate desktop to run these at home) one limitation is the default space of 16 GB on the base SSD which I have overcome by installing a 64 GB Samsung Evo Ultraspeed Micro sd card. This is an ideal Notebook to Professions and Entrepreneurs who are constantly on the move and would like to shed some kilos of weight from their backpack. Yes one more thing the backup is significantly better than my Lenovo thinkpad. The atom processor does a splendid job to prolong battery backup. I would conclude by saying that this a best Netbook in the market today I would also have spent a extra 10k to get this.
