The Asus TUF Gaming A15 is targeted at gamers with entry-level budgets, but that doesn't mean there's anything ordinary about it. This model is the first laptop we're reviewing with a 4000-series AMD Ryzen Mobile processor, which definitely helps to set it apart in the market. AMD has promised that this generation can easily hold its own despite Intel's virtual monopoly in the laptop market. We'll be paying attention to this, but there's also a lot more to take into account. Asus has launched this laptop with a lot of variants, and there are plenty of features that should appeal to gamers.
Asus TUF A15 Summary
The TUF Gaming A15 is sold in two finishes and you get loads of options when it comes to the CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, and screen type. The configuration we've reviewed is price at Rs. 94,990 and features an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 4800H CPU, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU, 512GB NVMe SSD, 1TB hard drive, 8GB of RAM, and a 144Hz screen. This is more than enough power to handle recent games at medium to high settings, and we had no trouble with performance.
The overall look is a bit basic and not everyone will like it. The screen is fine for games but not very vibrant overall, and battey life is also mediocre. However, the overall package is slim and portable, and it's definitely good value for money. There are plenty of ports, and a comfortable RGB backlit keyboard for gamer cred.
This is a gaming laptop that can be used for creative work as well as general productivity without much hassle.
