Asus is charging a 10-20k premium for looks and its brilliant chasis. The keyboard is seriously good; as for the rest features, the specs speak for themselves. It has a 1660ti standard version and not max-q (max-q is inferior version which generally is used in slimmer laptops). It overclocks really smoothly to 1935mhz no probs. It may heat up, but the keys and handrests are not tht hot. Overall, insane package

A great thing and light gaming laptop

I got the laptop in the last week of September. The brushed finish on the top with the thin chassis makes it really beautiful. The display is great 144Hz 3ms response time. However when its running of battery, the refresh rate will become 60Hz. There is backlight bleeding on the top right corner but it's barely noticeable. The battery life is decent. There is no webcam, but I won't use it even if I had one. The keyboard backlight is great and gets quite bright, but if you want to make custom presets you have to install aura creator. I didn't check the CPU and GPU temperatures, but the keyboard deck doesn't get too hot while gaming. Not that the ROG logo has a dimmer glow than that in the picture if it's not charging.

After a lot of research I bought this laptop and I am totally in love with it.Great design and performance. I am not into gaming but I use extensively for development and it works really well. The only downside is it does not come with webcam and you need buy ROG Eye separately and it is not available now :-(.

Crazy good laptop that's thin and lightweight.

I am writing this after extensive use for the last 2 months.I bought it for ~1.3L, i would consider that a little too high for this laptop as you could get a Lenovo Y540 with RTX2060 at the same price (or less, during sales).I'll talk about why I chose this apart from Y540 or TUF series laptops. Few months ago I've bought a Y540 for my fiancée even though she is not a gamer, as she needed a reasonably powerful laptop that is capable of doing somewhat heavy simulation and rendering for her research. She wanted the laptop to not scream 'GAMER' all over the place, and under 90K. So there was no other choice apart from Y540.But me, I game occasionally (mainly AAA titles), and do some designing and development in my field of work. I wanted something that was lightweight (my fiancée found the Y540 pretty hefty for everyday carry) yet powerful, and my budget was under 1.4L INR.Then I came across this computer. This laptop is crazy good for what it offers.- It supports dual channel memory.- It has 512GB SSD as base storage, and offers an additional M.2 slot for expansion.- A GTX1660Ti for graphics card, which in my opinion is enough for casual 1080p gaming.- And finally it has that 144Hz display, that the 1660Ti can take advantage in most games at high settings.- As a bonus you also get full RGB lighting with aura sync support on keyboard. So in a nutshell, if you want a lightweight, yet powerful laptop that can game whenever you want, go for this one. The others at this price is either heavy, or true ultra-portables that can't game.
