Perfect. The laptop was shipped by FedEx and was exactly what i wanted. The single fan is very quiet and the cpu doesn't go over 75C max so far.

This laptop, with its Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.6GHz. processor (and can turbo up to 3.5GHz), the 16GB DDR4 RAM (which runs half as cool and twice as fast as DDR3) and its NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M gaming graphic card will handle any game out there with ease. The Matte IPS FHD display, with its 1920 by 1080 resolution, makes any game look awesome. It will be awhile before I need to upgrade anything on this, but when I do, the slide-off upgrade panel will make it super easy to add a 2.5" SATA III SSD, a bigger hard drive or upgrade the RAM.Then there are the little extras... I love the circuit board design behind the keyboard (see my picture). You can reduce the intensity of the red backlighting by pressing "FN"+ "F3" or increase the intensity by pressing the "FN" + "F4" keys. The backlighting can go all the way from nothing at all to "bright enough to scorch your retina". I like it as bright as it goes, while my husband likes the light a little dimmer. We can both "have it our way." I love that the touch pad has right and left-clicking features, so it acts more like a real mouse. Everything about this laptop screams quality and should excite any gamer.

Seems too good to be true!

I was due to downsize from my old 18" gaming Asus laptop, and came across this model. I checked and rechecked the specs dozens of times- for the price, I couldn't believe what I was getting. I compared it other available Asus models and just for fun- the MacBook Pro specs. I would expect this laptop to be at least in the $1200+ range for PCs and the $2k+ range for the Mac.After receiving it and getting a chance to play with it, I'm still really impressed. Windows 10 is a little wonky IMO, but the laptop updated itself and downloaded my key software with no issues. I occasionally play World of Warcraft, and latency was less than 32 and fps was 96. (In my garrison... I haven't had a chance to see what happens in a large raid!) The screen is beautiful and the graphics look great. The machine boots up quickly and is very responsive.I like the chiclet keyboard. My only cons so far are cosmetic- I don't love red backlighting, but it does what it's supposed to do. The touchpad feels.... I don't know if "cheap" is the right word. When you touch it, you feel it depress slightly, and it's unsettling to me. It works completely fine- it's probably just my own personal preference for a mousepad to feel more solid.Oh and this machine is LIGHT! I can't believe how light it is and how cool it runs. It weighs a pound less than my Alienware 14" laptop and several pounds less that my 18" Asus.Going to take her traveling this week- looking forward to it!
