for those who are tight on budget it's a treat. guys laptop is really good both look wise and performance wise. sound is really great.and it also has antiglare screen.And yeah it comes with 2yrs warrenty.

I bought this laptop on 20/2/2016 from a local store. Some facts about this laptop are: 1. RAM...flipkart doesn't mention about any expandable ram, but this model actually has 4 gb ram, expandable upto 16 gb. There is one 4 gb ram stick, another unused slot...making a total of 2 slots. RAM frequency is 1600 mHz. 2. Battery life's 3.5 hrs on average, which is OK for a gaming laptop. I haven't personally tested this though, the shopkeeper told me. 3. Works best with Windows 10, processor is rumored to have driver compatibility problems with windows 8.1. However, I think that this might be false, and the latop would work fine with 8.1 64 bit OS. 4. Has a type C usb 3.1 port...which is a future tech thing. Applications for this is rare but being developed. 5. Asus has a 2 years warranty on this model instead of the 1 year that flipkart has mentioned, a wrong specification by flipkart. ADP, however, is not covered. Pros: 1. Great configuration at this price...i5 6200u along with a beastly 2 gb 930m nvidia gpu. There's also a 2 gb intel 520 integrated gpu for low graphics intensive work. 2. Display: Superb matte black finish anti-reflective screen. It isn't the glossy screen type and doesn't reflect under sunlight. Its very friendly for your eyes. Oh, and this doesn't affect the HD display, color production is good. 3.Doesn't heat up excessively while playing heavy games....gaming performance will be mentioned later. Cons: 1. Display's HD instead of full HD, but that's to be expected at this price. 2. Keyboard's not backlit :( . Also, no indicators for caps lock, num lock etc. 3. Glossy lid, which, while looks great...is a fingerprint magnet. The cons really are minor compared to the pros. GAMING REVIEW: I have used this for just 1 day..so I haven't been able to test out latest games yet. So far, this beast is able to run Witcher 2, Far Cry 4 and Dragon's Dogma at the highest possible settings very smoothly. I'll update gaming review later. UPDATE: runs assassin's creed syndicate smoothly, without any lag in high settings. THIS IS A BEAST. 2nd update: Battery life is over 4 hrs on medium usage(without gaming), with the battery saver mode on.

asus is incredible 1)performance of the laptop is awesome without any heating problems . 2)sound quality is good (sonic master and realtek audio manger made speakers best). 3)battery backup is good.it works fine with 4 gb ram and can be expanded (ram can be easily installed by own). 4)works fine with windows 10 5)windows 10 drivers cd is present in the package,i think no drivers for windows 8. 6)weight of the laptop is less and easily carriable 7)cam has less mega pixels not preferable for taking selfies in laptop . 8)nvidia graphics made gaming experience best 9)asus makes its own motherboard so asus r558u laptop is best in this price range 10)the connectivity is important,so in this laptop is equiped with vga,hdmi,ethernet port, (3.0, 3.1, 2.0) usb ports are present

i have been using this product for 2 week n feeling the performence..its soo good in playing games like asphalt 8, whicher 2 , gear of wars and more. its picks up high processing games easily ..but 1 complan to Flip kart that it dosent mention all the instalation excaltaly..which it has on the note book...very very very good product at this price rate..n lastlt fast delivery by flipkart..thanks

If anyone is wondering, maximum RAM Supported is 12GB. 4GB ram that comes with it is soldered to the motherboard and there is only one RAM Slot for upgrade. I was disappointed when i opened laptop to upgrade the RAM. Even ASUS doesn't mention this in their website. Laptop is really good though, for the price of course.

This is very good laptop with awesome spec and sound. Best under 40,000. The touchpad and drivers donot work with win 8.1 and 8 so one must install window 10

Faced some hiccups in installing OS but after that it has been a smooth ride. Looks : awesome Performance: awesome Gaming: haven't tested yet.

The laptop look is very attractive compared to lenovo or hp. Main advantage is its graphics card geforce 930m 2GB which is a big advantage to get under 40k. The next one is it is core i5 6th generation, while many laptops at its price are stuck at 5th generation. The display is average though, but for this price the half hd display is cool, games also get high fps. It would be better if it is listed in official site with the details of RAM supported . Update: It can go well with Kingston 8 GB RAM - 1600Mhz DDR3L - so total 12 GB is possible with this laptop. I am using it that way.. But RAM usage rarely goes above 4GB if u are normal user

i got it from seller "IT Store" using SBI debit card (10% off) @ 33.4 K (after discount) Screen in brighter than Hp laptops in this price range viewing angles are good... screen has matte finish upgrade ram... add 8gb extra ram to max it out @ 12gb total (8gb ram @ 2200Rs) thin / light weight / good brushed metal finish / nice color doesnt heat much only con is poor camera but a usb cam if you want

I Bought through Flipkart at Rs.38,050 in April 2016. Writing an unbiased review after 3 months of usage. Medium Gaming Laptop, Great Specs. Installed Windows 10, runs smoothly. In 4Gb of RAM I played these games without any problem Far Cry 4 Assassins Creed- Syndicate Fallout 4 Battlefield Hardline Ryse Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor etc. RAM can be further expanded through the extra unused slot. Heats up a little bit during heavy gaming, but cools down in 1 min.

Nice one..lil bit slow due to harddisk i think...showing 90% disk usage.. even while doing small tasks...camera could have been bettr ...rest Awesome. .

I was searching for the latest machine in a budget below 50K. Found this little beast. This machine has some of the latest and greatest specs. 6th Gen Processor Nvidia 930m (2gb) USB 3.1 (Type C- Reversible) etc. Pros- -Intel 6th Gen i5 Processor EXPANDABLE RAM (Yes, the Memory is Expandable. 4gb is preinstalled on the board. There is 1 empty slot for further expansion. I hv added 8gb more to it. Tried Kingston KVR16LS118 8GB Ram but it didn't worked. Don't know whether it ws a faulty one or support issue. Anyways I Tried ADATA and G.SKILL both worked fine. I m using 8gb G.Skill memory, it's awesome. No issues watsoevr.) -2 year warranty (Global) -Although 2 cell battery, but 6th Intel's gen processor and Asus's own motherboard it easily gets me 5 hours or usage time. -Decent Sound (Not as good as JBL etc but pretty loud. Slightly better than Lenovo G50 series laptop. Thing I liked the most is that it doesn't lose it's sweetness of sound even at the full volume.) -Anti-Glare Screen (No glares. Great outdoor visibility. Less power consumption) -Smooth running with Windows 10 + Driver CD is included. -CD drive is there. Although there is no much need of it now a days but it is there if in case u need it. Despite its presence the laptop is quite slim. Lets come to the cons- (There are few thing which are not CON for me but might be for some of u) -No light indicators on Caps Lock or Num Lock -Inbuilt Battery (Not a problem for me bcoz of 2 years warranty) Touchpad (It is Smartpad with some great gesture controls but as it's a smartpad it doesn't have separate left and right buttons like old laptops. Its not bad by the way but its totally upto one's personal preference.

This laptop is the best deal for budget of under 40k. You can definitely buy this product without thinking much. All the specifications are high which you can hardly get all of them in other brands above 42k. Runs very smoothly on Windows 10 without any lag or problem. Awesome display. Battery backup is also pretty good. Don't believe on negative comments about this laptop. Flipkart is THE BEST as usual. I got the product one day before the actual date of delivery with the amazing packing. Flipkart service center is best as usual. Good work Flipkart. Keep it up!!

I have bought this laptop recently from the flipkart and installed Ubuntu and windows 8.1(dual boot) in this laptop.the laptop comes with drivers DVD for windows 10.I have unable to find the touch-pad driver,camera driver and wifi driver for windows 8.1.I have downloaded driver from Asus support website but they are not compatible with this laptop.could any body help?in Ubuntu all devices are detected automatically including touch-pad and wifi so I think this laptop is not faulty.

Firstly the Delivery was amazing. I received the product 5 days from ordering(5 days earlier than expected date).Kudos TSRetail. The Laptop has exceeded my expectations. I researched about laptops in this price range for a week before ordering.This was definitely the best laptop for multipurpose use including media consumption, work performance and even gaming. The Laptop looks and feels amazing.The Description originally claimed that the product was matte finish on the outside but they have since changed the description and it is indeed a glossy dark brown which isn't necessarily a bad look but I personally prefer the matte finish.I have ordered and abstracvinyl from mSleep to give that matte feel. There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding the RAM slots on this laptop, I have only had the product with me for a day and haven't had the chance to open up the back yet, but I will update here regarding the RAM slots. 1)The Screen amazing! 2)The keyboard is very comfortable with large keys and gooid labelling. 3)The Trackpad is a joy to use. 4)It is quite light and thin compared to other 15.6" laptops. 5)The USB 3.0 port is not coloured blue which helps to keep track of the ports but rather painted brown like the rest of the laptop. Not a big issue but still putting it out there. 6)The Battery life is really good.it was at full charge when I began installing windows 10 on it and after the installation of my essential programs and some games and Ms office and the drivs, etc for over 3 hrs, it still had 22% battery left. 7)Installing the drivers from the Asus CD is a pain..it reboots after every installation of a driver or program.But I managed to make it through. 8)The 4GB RAM is definitely restricting performance and have ordered and additional 8GB .Will update on the improved performance. 9)I have played only Just Cause 2 and Besiege on it so far and they run smoothly at max settings( 60fps forJC2 and 90 fps for Besiege) 10)Will continue to update performance

as compare to other laptop in this range the performance is excellent...awesome battery life and very light weight to carry... but body of the laptop is not that good(but good for this price range)..

Laptop is good I am using this with 8 gigs of ram processing speed of processor is quite good ram also works fine Processor is extremely powerful however HDD read write is not so good if you copy 4 gb or more data it gives 100 % on disk consumption causes lag in performance I believe multiple copying will not be possible I think will will work well if HDD is replaced by SSD

This is a nice laptop for heavy user. Keyboard is very nice. It has a nice touchpad gesture, which is quite helpful. Overall my experince is good. Though I have not tried any game in it as I don't play any computer game.

Good in perfomance. Display is little pixalate and not good for design works.But very fast. No heating,good speed , slim and stylish.
