The “Creator” laptop category emerged a few years ago when manufacturers realised that a large number of buyers need serious processing power for tasks such as photo and video editing, 3D modelling, and animation. Over the years, laptops have become slimmer and lighter but have also ditched a number of features and design elements that power users might want or need – with the exception of the gaming laptop segment. Unfortunately, gaming laptops also tend to be flashy and so they didn't completely fit the bill. Hardware companies have now begun to cater specifically to pro users who need power as well as portability.

Asus ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED (AMD) Summary

Asus has studied what creative professionals really want in a high-end laptop, and the result is the ProArt StudioBook 16 OLED series. This is a large laptop with a 16-inch 16:10 OLED screen and several unique design touches. The panel is bright and crisp, and boasts of industry certifications for colour accuracy. You'll notice a large jog dial below the keyboard which can be used to quickly select tools and change parameters in software. The keyboard and trackpad are also optimised in terms of layout. There are loads of ports and connectivity options on the sides. The H5600 model offers choices of AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPUs and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 series GPUs, with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Performance is top-notch and battery life is also surprisingly good, but the body does get quite warm when stressed.
