The best laptop in it's classRead a lot of reviews about this laptop on this site, and many provide wrong information. Firatly, it's a VR ready ready and I have used it personally.Secondly, about the screen, yes it's a tn panel screen with not so great viewing angle, but it gets the job done. You can game on it no problem at all.Coming to the performance part, this laptop is worth the money, with gtx 1060 6gb, you can play any AAA title game at high with 60 + fps.Now at such pricing, the laptop can't provide you with a good cooling solution, therefore if you are going to game for a long period, then you should be in a cool environment (preferably in an air conditioned room) to keep the temps low, or you can undervolt your cpu (Google it). Another cheap method to cool/ventilate your laptop would be to place it on a book, so that the fans could get some extra area to throw out hot air.Now coming to the conclusion, this laptop is a bang for money. Though the screen is not for any content creater such as Photoshop and all as it is not that colour accurate, but you can't ask for more at this price. Hope this helped

It's an amazing laptop which handles AAA titles like NFS payback(80 fps avg) battlefield 1(70 fps avg) mafia 3(60 fps avg) with ease on ultra .Being a TN panel viewing angles are not good .The only problem I faced was temperatures were going till 89 c max but it is normal for gaming laptops this thin,just buy a cooling pad it brought down the temperatures by 7 degrees.The design is amazing from outside it looks like a normal laptop but inside it's a beast (a business look).

A good laptop... if you are looking for the cheapest laptop with maximum performance, it is the ideal buy.I am a student in IIT Roorkee, and I need to do some 3d modelling, coding etc on a regular basis.Pros:The Body- Made of Aluminum (brushed), giving it a sturdy and elegant feel considering that some of the laptops with similar configurations and in an 10k price difference have plastic bodies. It's plain, with no red stripes or the ROG logo, which doesn't actually diminish the look. There is no flex. Fingerprints might appear though...Screen: A 1080p TN panel which isn't 100% color accurate(as mentioned) and doesn't have a good viewing angle too, but normally, it doesn't matter a lot( unless you do content creation and stuff). 60hz refresh rate.Performance: Well, it has i7 7700 HQ, 16 gigs of RAM(DDR4)and a 6GB gtx 1060...Need I say more?(It's awesome, really awesome by the way)On ultra setting with 1080p resolution, it devastates AAA category games with over 60 fps...Yes even it extremely demanding games like Witcher 3, GTA V, Ghost Recon, Far Cry series, Tomb Raider series etc (some may not hit 60 fps on ultra, but they hit on very high setting for sure). The Gtx 1060 is VR enabled.Battery: it is okay, I guess for a laptop this strong, 1~1.5 hr on gaming, 3~4 hr of normal net browsing and video streaming and ~5 hr at no internet use is justifiable given the brightness is set at 25% ( Still, quite bright. I personally use 10%)Storage: It actually has an additional 128 GB SSD where the OS is installed. It has two drives - C, where the OS is installed (118GB) and D, your storage(930 GB, 7200 RPM). Starts up in around 6-7 seconds. Okay...I think. Fulfills all demands for a moderate guy.Keyboard- red backlight scissor style keys. Okay response. Trackpad's accurate.Temperature- gets quite hot in the top right corner...around 70 degrees after a rigorous 4-5 hours of use (including gaming...which justifies it)Make sure you don't block the air vents.It's around 3 cm thick, and is quite heavy. You get a charging set and a set of manuals. It misses the END key (doesn't really matter) and the startup key is actually a part of the keyboard... At the top right corner. If you want a laptop good enough for a pro-mediocre gamer, or a person too much into serious 3D modelling and stuff related to that, go for it, its a bang for buck.Overall, a great buy if you care for the performance, but not too much on the screen.

It is based on GL502VMZ model.Pros:* Runs most games at 60�10 fps.* No heating issues.* Mostly consistent performance* Weight is balanced.* Good enough battery backup.* Fast 7200rpm HDD.* Speakers are clear and loud enough.* No noise issues.* Matt display panel, so no reflection issue.* Backlit keyboard (red), with highlighted WASD.Cons:* TN display panel, not so great viewing angels.* SATA3 SSD, so slower than NVMe.* 128GB SSD will make you think what to install on C drive.* Has GTX1060 6GB GPU but not VR ready.* Only 3 USB ports, only one on left side* No USB type C/thunderbolt* Only 2 display ports, HDMI and mini Display port.* Power button is into keyboard, so may be pressed accidentally.* Keyboard is missing dedicated END key.Design is minimalist with no extra flares( ROG branding, glowing logo, contours, ...) which isn't bad exactly.One issue which I hope is specific to my unit is that, it won't resume after hibernation and have to force restart. Updating the BIOS also didn't fix.

Pros: High performance and good graphicsCons : But cannot enjoy the graphics because of poor display quality. The screen looks too bright and not colorful.Worthy of 1.1L because I am very much satisfied by the high performance

Beware, some of the specs given here are wrong. According to Asus's latest product guide, the specs are* i7-7700HQ processor*16GB DDR4(2400MHz) RAM*GTX 1060 6GB* FULL HD Display (NOT IPS and NOT 100% sRGB as it says in description.)Got this thing for 110K during new year offer.

Eventhough it has a decent hardware, it is not worth more than 1 lakh(INR) as it has a tn panel which is neither good for gaming nor editing.
