I was really looking forward to seeing this tablet when ASUS launched it last year. Its really great that ASUS launched the 2 GB RAM model of it here, because as I have read so far in most countries it has launched the 1 GB model. Now coming to the tablet. After using it for the last 4 days I am really satisfied. Everything works smoothly and perfectly, there is nothing much to complaint about. It satisfied all my purpose for which I brought it. From browsing to e-book reading and playing games it is a great experience using this tab. Things that I really liked about this tab are- The touch - Really sensitive and responsive. Display - One word. Excellent! ASUS's ZEN UI and the pre installed apps - Highly functional and very useful if you utilize them properly. Each and every app and the UI is beautifully designed and well planned. I am a huge fan of the Google Now launcher but I really don't want to replace ASUS's default launcher after using it, I absolutely love it. Speaker and Sound quality - Loud enough for me and quality is superb. As for the other features - Battery - It easily lasts more than 12 hrs with mixed usage. Camera - Quite average. But I really will not use it much so its not a concern for me. Front camera is good enough for video chat. A few things that are missing are the Dual App mode which is there in Fonepad 7 (might get it in a future update though) and a notification LED. Otherwise a great tab and a complete VFM product.

Having Fonepad suffices us in all ways better than even an IPAD and other new tablets inthe market, GPS+3G+wifi+external memory support+big battery. Looks great as per configuration..can go ahead and grab it.

Very Good Launch from ASUS Speakers are the USP, always like ASUS UI Nice Combo of Tab and a Fone :) Possibly only of its kind

I Really liked the Tab, Excellent Display, Audio Quality is also is good But sad part is Flipkart hasnt started selling Case & Covers for it

Hi All, As for as flipkart created trust already for me, always they are delivering before the mentioned time. About the product: It's been 3 days since I bought it. I am finding it really good. all the features. Guys whoever buying this, do the update of all the ASUS softwares and APP's, it's really a cool design. Hope u'll love it. For travelers, book readers it is a best buy. The performance with 3G and WiFi is really awesome. Quite fast browsing. No one can give any better than this for this price. I am testing the battery with high usage, will update about the Battery after a week.

best with some limitations: 1. no flash with cam 2. avg cam quality 3. avg in-phone speakers quality 4. no flip cover :(

Hey Buyers, Am yet to order this product but i can tell you from the articles read online so far that this is indeed the best tablet made yet by the company ASUS as compared with other brands. It should ideally be a 4 star rating as this should have come out with an update for lollipop , also not photographer's delight. Plus am waiting as it's still out of stock over 2 weeks now Let me give a full 5 for the best in budget and class !

I got this product with Superfast delivery, in just 15 hours. I am fond of flipkart because of this. Product. Its very nice Tab, I have installed so many apps and games still running smoothly. very light weight and stylish.

I used digiflip pro 911 which is bulky, not a great display, buggy, crashes alot After that usage, I brought this, Zen UI is simply awesome, Product is outstanding at this price tag no lags what so ever, Can hold with one hand, Display is very bright, Super customization, Best part is that it fits my budget.

This is an awesome tablet considering the price I paid. Built quality is good and I can assure you that it won't let you down. Finding accessories is still difficult. Only demerit is that you cannot play full HD videos. But with under 14 K price you cannot ask more.

3 months of frequent research and got stuck to asus fonepad 8.my fisrt android gadget and is pretty satisfying for a tablet around 14k in comparison to other tabs like lenovo S8 and nexus 7(no calling) pros:- 1. elegent design with thin bezel and good to hold 2. good speakers with satisfying bass and loud. 3. good battery backup,almost a day with wifi,games. 4. scratch proof to a large extent. 5. calling facility(voice is crisp and clear). 6. excellent processing power,thanks to 2GB RAM.capable of handling 'Asphalt 8' like a champ ,also tested ' Death trigger 2 ' and performed well cons:- 1. camera is not so go (focus is no so good), after processing photo seems focused. 2. OTG use to restart the tab sometimes. overall it a good tab to buy and worth it if you want something heavy.

Just two points worth mentioning about the two close competing tablets: 1. Comparing the two this one is low on screen resolution. On the contrary S8 has Intel HD graphics bay trail whereas FE380CG having Power VR G6430: capable of doing a little bit more. Consulting various graphics intensive benchmarks which would be very clear. To be more specific, if the GPU is weaker then whats the point of having a higher resolution screen? 2. S8 is a letdown in question of battery backup. ASUS fonepad 8 allowed me more than a complete day of backup in moderate usage: having wifi on, browsing, reading ebooks keeping the screen turned on most of the time, downloading apps, 2G dual sim activated it lasts exactly how I expected it to be. Here I see that flipkart is not promoting this product for some unknown reason. But as it comes to price performance ratio, sleek, ergonomic and extraordinarily bezel less design, lightweight and a lag free performance, with a decent processor it overwhelms all other tablets at per and below its price tag and competes with rigs above its price tag. But regret flipkart wont let me give it more than 5 stars. So be it.

Using this tablet from past 20 days and till now didnt find any cons in it, display is bright and sharp, battery backup(may differ as per usage) is good, sound is crisp, didnt find any lags in playing heavy games, switching between apps is smooth, both the cameras are Ok(but good as per tablet point of view), the zen UI is awsome. Overall Best Tablet.

Bought this product after 2 months of in depth research. Wanted a calling tablet with all the features available as much as possible.Very Satisfied with the product after using it for almost a month now. - Touch response is very good. UI is very responsive. - Looks (Black one) is awesome due to is matt finished back cover. - Slight heavy to hold single handedly for too long. - Internet surfing is pretty smooth. - Resolution is quite impressive. - Call reception is good, sometimes difficult to hear in noisy environment but overall good. Received calls on both the sim at different times without any issue. - Sound quality very good. As it has dual front facing speakers it is easy to hear the sound even when it is rested on a table. - Picture quality is not good in low light. Do not have a flash which is a disadvantage. - 2 GB RAM so gaming is also quite smooth and live streaming of videos HD quality is a delight to watch. - Storage capacity is sufficient and can be extended too with external memory chip. - Doesn't heat up even after 5-6 hrs of continuous surfing. - Daylight pictures comes good but still not as 5mp camera would shoot. - Too many pre-loaded applications which cannot be removed I believe. Didn't try though. Would have been a perfect one had there been a LED flash, but its difficult to have everything in less than 15K. Delivery from Flipkart was also flawless.

I am an ardent fan of Asus bought an Asus FE380CG 8" Tablet before 2 months. I am very much satisfied with its performance. It's battery backup is excellent. But the battery drains very fast in Mobile Data than in Wifi. I know it is very common. The 2GB Memory gives an awesome performance.

Have had the tablet for a week now and I have installed most of the applications I need. There no lags has been seen so far, KitKat runs smooth with 2 Gig of RAM and Intel Quad Core processor. However the screen is too glossy and cant find a screen protector for the tablet. Pros: Lag free Good Screen Quality to read and watch movies With most of the Apps running free Memory is close to 800 MB Cons: Screen too glossy and does not have a screen guard Attracts finger prints No Inbuilt screen protection

My review is after 2nd day of use. Pros 1. Good display with a good aspect ratio for watching movies 2. Sound of the build in speakers is good 3. Touch is very smooth 4. So far the battery life is also good 5. It is thin and light and has a premium feel 6. Video camera has time lapse feature Cons Not many at this point 1. The camera is not very good especially for indoor usage 2. No Andriod 5 yet Overall it is very nice and better than all the tabs in this price range. I placed the order on 5th May and got the delivery on 6th May. That was fast. Update Received Andriod Lollipop update

thanks to flipkart fr the quick delivery now to the product after 5 day of use 1: charged it whole night but the battery ended up at 7pm today , with continues wifi on , i 700 mb torrent download , 1.5 hr of watsaap ,30 minutes of browsing , 1hr of gta and fifa 15 gameplay and some facebook 2 : coudt find any screen guard or pouch in the market 3 : pretty big now for the pros and cons pros good screen didt hang while gaming or 1080p videos good wifi reception good mobile network reception & calls great front speaker I suggest every one buy this and enjoy...

this is the best tablet by the asus it is the power package of everything that one seeking to have in a tablet.. good features apart from these good build quality an nice designing..

I bought this tablet for my dear friend since he was not in his home, When I opened the box and had a look I was astonished to see a very beautiful tablet from Asus. I am using old asus fonepad 7 dual and this fonepad 8 have same size and smaller in thickness I think, and it have bigger screen area. The design was super. And in performance I had never used it much, But I hope a 2GB RAM does a descent job in the performance and the camera display everything works well. kudos to Asus !! and also thanks to flipkart for prompt delivery ..!!

Thanks Flipkart for making such good product available through online mode. Flipkart service was quick. Almost 3 months I have been using this phone without any issue. There is no heating issue, very good battery life, smooth scroll of screen, fast response on touch. Only concern is volume for call seems to be little low but this is not a big issue at all. Sound for music, video is clear and loud as expected

Writing this review after a week of use Pros: 1. Build Quality is amazing. Very sleek and feels very solid to hold. Looks great too. 2. Processor and RAM specs are good and they deliver great performance. 3. Battery Life is good too, Lasting me a day and a half with moderate use. Cons: 1. Touch response is ok, not great. 2. Camera is not good. I don't feel that a good camera is necessary in a tablet. So the only real con is the touch response, which is a little sluggish when compared to high end devices. Resolution is only 1280*800 but that's not really noticeable. The pros of the device more than make up for the cons and at this price it's a fantastic device to purchase.

i received the fonepad 8 on 17 may it is the best tablet at this price it works very smoothly and after getting the lollipop update the performance has increased by 50% i also played games like asphalt 8 ,gta san andreas ,mortal combat etc all worked very smoothly the outdoor performance of the camera is good

I bought it about 3 months ago. It had android 4.4 by default. I was not expecting any upgrade and was happy with performance and apps available in play store. Then someday on net I found some buzz of getting android 5 on this tablet. I thought its just rumor but about 3 weeks back I really got 660 mb update notification and it was lollipop upgrade on tablet.

Got this for my mother-in-law. For her usage (mostly browsing, whatsapp, videos) this fits the bill perfectly. Although a bit more money would get me the brilliant iBall WQ145 Win8.1 device, which feels a lot more "at home" , this was a lot more user-friendly. The UI isn't as easy as Touchwiz, but once you get used to it, the hardware is really quick to execute most apps seamlessly. Recommended for this price point

This review is after 1 week of possession of the tablet. The performance is really very good and beyond expectations. The build quality is awesome and the Zen UI is breezy and smooth. I got the Lollipop 5.0 update. I wonder why the tablet has not been popular. since the price and specs are amazing. In fact I got the tablet at the price of Rs 12600 after 10% discount. Flipkart service is also excellent. The only con is that there are no accessories available for this tablet like the original folio cover and flipkart must quickly launch the accessories for this tablet. Worth buying and go ahead and buy!

Assume tablet in mid range n also good working with 2 Gb Ram ...overall performance is good best value for money
