The announcement came from company's YouTube Creators account on Google+, nothing that the Android app users will now be able to select the exact frame (where the video starts and ends) to simply trim away the videos before the upload, which has been improved to upload faster as well. Users will also be able to preview of the trimmed video before uploading it to YouTube.
Other than that, the updated YouTube (version 10.08) app on Friday has also included an additional feature called "Stats For Nerds", which can be enabled from Menu > Settings > General > Stats For Nerds, reports Android Police.
According to the report, Google is planning upon a big improvement which will allow users to swap the audio in a video along with more new search filters.
For now, the update isn't rolled out to Google Play India (though it notes the February 27 update time), but users can download the Google-signed apk from Android Police.
Last week, Google had brought a new YouTube Kids app for Android and iOS for users in the US. The company will soon make it available on Kurio and nabi kids' tablets as well.
The YouTube Kids app, designed for "curious little minds", provides age-appropriate videos, channels, and playlists for the young ones. Google says that the app has taken out the complicated stuff and uses big buttons, easy scrolling, and instant full-screen interface for kids to navigate easily.
