The YouTube app for Android has been updated and now comes with the much-awaited YouTube Mix and few more features.
The YouTube Mix feature automatically sorts a list of music videos of a particular artist, and we noticed most of them being from the Vevo-channel. Users can also share or like another user's playlists, which will be then shown on a guide drawer placed on the left side.
Moreover, according to Google, users with devices running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean or later would see a distinct improvement in the quality of videos played on the YouTube app.
In addition, some changes have been made in the comments section of the YouTube app. The users can now reply to another user's comments via the app, delete the replies, and can see if a comment has been shared publically or privately.
The updated YouTube app is available to download from the Google Play Store.
YouTube for Android was also updated couple of weeks ago, with the option that enabled users to cast live videos. Other features included in the new YouTube for Android update was an improved Watch Later UI.
Not only YouTube but the Google Calendar app was also updated, which offered location auto-complete option from Google Maps while creating a new event.
Earlier this month, Google updated its Chromecast device that enabled it to support YouTube live-streaming. It has been noted that users can now cast livestream videos from YouTube via a desktop web browser to the device connected TV. Also in addition to the livestream videos, it was also recently reported that Chromecast can stream private YouTube videos as well.
