YouTube, the world's most popular video sharing website, has finally made its way into Sony's latest gaming console, the PS Vita. The announcement that the website would be integrated into the gaming console was made last month and it is now finally available for free download via the PS Vita Store on PSN.

The free app now gives users on-the-go access to millions of videos, which can be viewed on the Vita's 5 inch OLED display. With 3G integration, users are not just dependent on Wi-Fi. Users also have the choice of liking and disliking videos they see.

Videos can also be viewed in two modes, full screen and small screen. The full screen mode joins a control panel towards the bottom of the screen, while the small screen mode shows the video on one side with the suggested videos, comments, and information accessible on the other side. There is also a choice to view videos in SD and HD up to 720p.

Key features:

  • Recommended videos - displays videos recommended from YouTube
  • Search - search for videos by typing a keyword
  • History - displays the most recent videos you've viewed
  • Favorites - displays a list of videos you've added to your Favorites list
  • A small player that will let you hop between clips
