Xiaomi has updated its official Mi Fit app, the smartphone companion app for the company's Mi Band and Mi Scale, to integrate it with Google's health and fitness platform, Google Fit.
The fitness app will now be able to send the data collected by the Mi Band to Google Fit, making it easier for users to track their health on Android devices. The update, which brings the app version to 1.4.923, also includes other user interface improvements and bug fixes. The updated app is available to download from Google Play.
Xiaomi had launched the Mi Band in India at Rs. 999 at its Global Mi Phone Premiere event last month, where it had also unveiled the Xiaomi Mi 4i. The Xiaomi Mi Band, like most existing wearable devices in the market, focuses on user's health by helping them track their fitness and sleeping routine. The fitness tracking band also features Bluetooth wireless connectivity to pair with smartphones.

Flaunting an aluminium surface and no display screen with interchangeable plastic bands, the Xiaomi Mi Band is water resistant (IP67) and has a standby life of 30 days. Once paired with the smartphone, the Mi Band can be used to unlock the user's Xiaomi smartphone without typing any password or patterns.
