The latest Twitter app for iOS (version 6.33) is based on the new API that came with iOS 8 and now gives interactive notifications to users. This would let them favourite or reply to a tweet right from the notification panel, all while running a different app on the screen.
The app has also made it easier for iOS users to view and work on their saved drafts. Once users start composing a tweet, they would see a quill-like icon on top, tapping on which will navigate them to their saved tweets. The updated Twitter for iOS app is available to download from App Store.
Twitter for Windows has also been updated, bringing a new design that falls in line with the user interface design of Windows 10. It is worth noting that since the launch of Twitter for Windows 8 in 2013, this is one of the major updates for the app. Screenshots also show a new "refresh" button alongside the tweet composing button. The complete list of changes are not yet known.
Microsoft has not yet started rolling out the updated app to users, however, the Windows Store is showing the screenshots of the redesigned app, hinting the rollout will be soon. The app is expected to reach users after the launch of Windows 10, which is set to take place on Wednesday.
