Two major third-party keyboard app makers have introduced the latest versions of their offerings. SwiftKey has finally introduced emoji prediction for iOS devices in its latest update, apart from other features. Now iPad and iPhone users, just like Android users, can simply type phrases to see emoji suggestions and use it while chatting. Swype in the meanwhile updated its app with much needed features for Android users.

As a part of the update, SwiftKey for iOS besides bringing emoji prediction, introduces key-click sounds, which users can activate by going in the keyboards settings of the device. Support for 11 additional languages namely Bulgarian, Croatian, Greek, Hinglish, Icelandic, Indonesian, Latvian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, and Turkish is also included in version 1.2 of the app.

For iPad users, the SwiftKey app's latest update brings the SwiftKey Flow feature, using which users can type words by dragging their fingers on the keyboard.

Swype, on the other hand, has been updated to version 1.8 for Android users with new features like Android 5.0 Lollipop-based themes (Light, Dark and Bumble Bee), detachable keyboard for Android tablet users, new languages and more. New languages that will now be supported by the updated Swype keyboard are German, Italian, Burmese Zawgyi, Sinhala, and Vietnamese Telex.

The update also includes emoji support in eight languages. Some of the other features added are Korean initial consonant, performance improvements related to connected services, and few bug fixes. Swype a couple of months ago got a massive update for iOS devices that included emoji prediction, support for 16 new languages, auto-space and sound on key press.
