The two companies entered into an agreement with management entrance test provider IMS for the content, which can be downloaded free of cost for Vodafone customers using Blackberry smartphones.
"IMS is well established and we value education content providing smartphones. With this application -- Study Buddy -- we will be able to take it to colleges and students", Research in Motion, Director-Commercial Relationship, Hitesh Shah said.
Claiming that it is a innovative application, he said the whole application was developed by Pune-based Omni Bridge technologies and now available for free download from BlackBerry AppWorld.
Study Buddy application at present with 5,000 test papers is available for download free of cost on Blackberry smartphones for Vodafone subscribers.
IMS Kerala and Tamil Nadu Business Head Sarith Nair said the objective in launching an application was to help the two lakh people who take up CAT and CMAT training.
Besides they would also offer training for students taking up 'placement tests', he added.
Vodafone Tamil Nadu Business-Head Suresh Kumar said they have about 1.25 crore customers in Tamil Nadu.
To a query, Nair said the content would initially be available in Tamil Nadu and would later be extended to other markets as well.
