Opera Software has released an updated version of its Opera Mini web browser for Android today. Dubbed as version 7, it is now available for download in
Google Play store.
According to Opera, the new version of Opera Mini supports improved hardware acceleration; thus making browsing faster and makes panning around sites smoother. It also removes the limit on the number of Speed Dial buttons on the browser home screen.
As expected, the Opera Mini 7 also includes the already existing compress feature, which squeezes the webpages up to 90pc before rendering them thus leading to only fraction to data usage by the phone.
Company has also announced that there are over 160 million Opera Mini users in the world, thanks to the multi-platform support.
