OnePlus, soon after launching its third smartphone last week, launched a new app for Android and iOS users dubbed Reflexion. The photography app lets users capture images, make creative compositions, and share them on social platforms.
The Reflexion app weighs 3.1MB and 3.9MB for Android and iOS respectively. It is compatible with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and iOS 8.0 and higher OS versions, as per its Google Play and App Store listing. OnePlus says the Reflexion app is inspired by its latest smartphone, the OnePlus X.
The new Reflexion app by OnePlus uses both the front and rear cameras of the smartphone. Users start by taking an image with the front facing camera, and then an image with the rear camera. The app automatically combines the two into an X-shaped frame. Users can reposition the photos and X frame by dragging, to fiddle with the composition. Once done, the user can tap on the tick-mark symbol to finish editing, and can then share the image on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
The new photography app by OnePlus is one of several apps currently available for Android and iOS platforms that allow users to innovatively combine images taken with front and rear cameras, and it will be interesting to see how well the Reflexion app is adopted by users.
OnePlus last week launched its OnePlus X smartphone starting at Rs. 16,999 price tag.
