Samsung recently commenced the rollout of the Android 16-based One UI 8 Beta. A tipster suggests that it will bring several new features for Game Booster — a free-to-download app designed to improve the gaming experience on Galaxy devices. The update is tipped to bring a Max boost feature that may optimise the phone's settings to deliver maximum performance. Other anticipated features with One UI 8 Beta include Game Sound, 4D Vibration, support for Bluetooth microphone, and a Virtual Gamepad.

New Game Booster Features in One UI 8

The changes were spotted by user @GalaxyTechie, who shared the details in a post on X (formerly Twitter) following the Game Booster 7.0.51.13 update in One UI 8. Among the additions is Max boost. Its description states, “In some games, your phone could use more battery or get a little hotter than normal." While it remains unclear what exactly this feature will do, the description suggests it may improve the Galaxy device's gaming performance.

Another feature, dubbed AI Mute, is said to identify the game screen and “implement intelligent mute” and volume recovery when it is launched by the user. The Game Booster app in One UI 8 also mentions a Respawn Timer. As the name suggests, it is speculated to display a floating timer on the screen to let users know when they may be able to join the game again. At present, it is tipped to only support Honor of Kings.

Features such as Dash notifications and Super Microphone will be displayed in a floating window on the game screen for quick access. The former is tipped to make notifications disappear once they cross the screen. Meanwhile, the latter may allow microphone access in the game even if it is already being used by another app.

During gaming, users may also take advantage of a voice changer feature. It may allow them to choose from voice types like a middle-aged man, little girl, sci-fi horror, ethereal, and robot. The app is also said to bring support for Bluetooth microphones which could potentially improve voice chats while multiplayer gaming.

4D Vibration and Game Controller are two more features whose functionality isn't exactly known but may be part of the Game Booster app in One UI 8 once it is publicly available on Galaxy devices.
