Reasons for his departure are unknown at the moment, and Tandon hasn’t said where he’s going yet. For its part, Nazara has been in the news for its deals with Hrithik Roshan, tying up with Supercell’s Game Lead and London Venture Partners for an investment in TrulySocial, localising Stick Cricket, as well as working on a cricket game starring Virat Kohli.

With a flurry of activity from the company, one can assume that it’s approaching a round of funding and working on a host of projects does a fair bit to prop up its profile. This makes Tandon’s departure, along with others such as Head of Studios Sanjay Soni and Senior Designer Jitesh Panchal — both of whom left the company earlier in the year— all the more perplexing.

Last year, industry sources claimed Nazara was looking to raise between $50 to $100 million in funding. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long to see a majority of these deals result in an actual game release.
