Microsoft recently rolled out some updates for four of its Bing-related apps for its Windows platforms, namely Bing News, Bing Weather, Bing Sports and Bing Finance. The update brings support for synchronisation between Windows, Windows Phone and Windows RT versions of the apps.
Besides the sync update, the four apps get new other new features as well. The updated Bing Finance app will now include the 'My Finance' section, which will allow the users to track their brokerage accounts in the app, including "monitoring account balances, portfolio distribution, holdings transactions and more. However, this feature for now only works in the US region.
The updated Bing Sports app will now let users watch live events on their smartphones, get access to player profiles, and new and updated stories. Users can also personalize the Sports app according to their favourite teams.
The updated Bing News app features new sources, such as Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. Users can also share articles to their social accounts or via texts and emails.
Besides these three apps, Bing Weather app is also said to be updated by Microsoft. However, there are no details on the update as of yet, as per the Windows Blog.
Apart from updates for the four existing apps, Microsoft has also introduced three new Bing-related applications for Windows Phone OS - Bing Food & Drink, Bing Travel and Bing Health & Fitness. After installing of new apps, the users can log-in from their Microsoft account and sync data across the different platforms.
The new Bing Food & Drink app gives users access to over 600,000 recipes from different content partners straight on the Windows Phone.
The Bing Health & Fitness app has been already seen listed in the app market under beta release. The app comes with a number of features focussed on user's overall health, their nutrition intake, calories, workout trends and more.
With Bing Travel, the users can "plan and manage" their future trips and journeys. The app can be also used to "find all kinds of places with destination guides, rich photos and more."
