Knolscape
Knolscape, a gamification and simulation software provider operating in the EdTech space, has raised Series A funding from Inventus Capital Partners; a US-India venture firm, and The HR Fund, an human resources (HR) focused private investment company. The investment will be used for international expansion, product innovation, and building out global partnerships, the company said. Knolscape has presence in Singapore and India, with over 125 clients across the globe.
InTouchApp
Pune-based Volare Technologies, makers of InTouchApp - a contacts management app, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from seed fund Blume Ventures. Founded in 2012, the app has reportedly seen over 2.5 million downloads, and is available on all leading mobile platforms, including BlackBerry and Windows Phone. The app lets users easily share a list of contacts with anyone, and uses in-app purchases for premium features.
Commut
Hyderabad based shuttle service provider Commut has raised a funding of $200,000 (roughly Rs. 1.3 crores) from 50K Ventures. The startup has reportedly completed 17,000 bookings, and plans to hit over 5,000 rides per day by the end of the year. It currently offers Web-based bookings and an app for Android users on Google Play.
DropKaffe
Bengaluru-based DropKaffe, which operated formerly as an online coffee shop, has reportedly raised $550,000 (roughly Rs. 3.6 crores) in a pre-Series A funding round from angel investors. DropKaffe currently delivers milkshakes and cold coffees to eight locations in Bengaluru, having previously raised a seed round in August 2015.
