Google Play in recent weeks has received a lot of new features including one that allowed developers to display sales on their apps, including free offers, on Google Play. Now, Google Play is adding a new section dubbed 'Free App of the Week' which will highlight the weekly offer on popular apps.

The new Free App of the Week section in Google Play is not visible currently in India. Though, we can expect the feature to be rolled out soon.

The Google Play is currently listing the Card Wars: Adventure Time in the Free App of the Week section, and shows that the app is free for now while it carries a pricing of $2.99. The listing also confirms that the app is free for another five days.

The new Free App of the Week section can be spotted on the Apps page in the Play store, and can be seen on the mobile as well as desktop. The new section will certainly help highlight deals on some popular apps during any week. The new Free App of the Week listing was spotted by Android Police.

In the meanwhile, another change has been spotted on the Google Play app - a revamp of the My Apps section. Now, apps will be divided into four tabs - Updates, Installed, Library, and Beta. Users will also be able to sort apps in the Installed and Library tabs with alphabetical order, last updated, last used, and size. The revamped My Apps section was first spotted by Twitter user @YTSecurity, and shared by 9to5Google.

One of the biggest changes that Google brought for developers recently was a way to display sales on their apps. The feature offered developers option to add strikethrough pricing for running their own price promotions on paid apps and games, while showing the original price above. Google Play is also expected to get an all-new editorial page soon. The new editorial page in Google Play will allow the company's editors to hand pick games offering optimal gaming experiences on Android.

Google Play recently completed its five years, and marked the occasion by releasing a list of most successful games, apps, and other content that has been downloaded from its Android store.
