Gameloft has now released the latest entry in its popular Modern Combat franchise called Modern Combat Versus on both Android and iOS. The new online multiplayer game is currently available only in select countries and will be released worldwide later on. The company has also mentioned that users can expect frequent gameplay changes during the beta as continues to develop.

"Choose your Agent, master your role, and dominate the field of battle with your team. From skilled run 'n' gun attackers and covert assassins to team supporters and defenders, there's an Agent for every style of warfare," Gameloft said in the game's description on Google Play. Players get to play as as 12 specialised Agents, each equipped with unique guns as well as abilities.

The Modern Combat Versus features 4v4 online multiplayer battles where teams fight to control a central zone. "Go for the kill as you battle across 5 distinct maps featuring close-quarters and long-range warfare. There's multiplayer action around every corner," the company said.

Players can get promoted to leagues with higher competitiveness and earn free prizes and prestigious rewards. Considering that it is a free game and comes with rather neat graphics, the online multiplayer should serve well to kill some of your pass time.
