Flock Expands to 5 More Countries With Multilingual Support, New Features

Flock, a team messenger for businesses that rivals Slack and the recently launched Microsoft Teams, on Wednesday announced it has set foot in five more countries with multilingual support. The company has expanded to the US, Brazil, the UK, Russia, and Spain with the addition of native language support in each location.

The company also announced that its CEO, Bhavin Turakhia, will invest $25 million (roughly Rs. 163.7 crores) into the company to aid product innovation and to meet global demand. This is in addition to his original investment of $20 million (roughly Rs. 130.9 crores).

"Since Flock entered the market, we've experienced significant global traction and 200 percent growth. Accelerated demand for the need to increase efficiency across teams has provided us with every reason to continue to expand globally and for me to prepare to invest additional capital," said Turakhia in a statement. "At Flock, we are deeply committed to enhancing team and organizational productivity. Surveys and interviews with our global users clearly demonstrated that over 80 percent of professionals prefer using software in their native language. We immediately made it a priority to develop multilingual support for our users worldwide."

With this expansion, Flock claims to have become the first team messenger in the business chat messaging industry to offer multilingual support for non-English speaking countries.
