Cleartrip has finally launched its app for Apple iPad users, taking UI design clues from its current iPhone app, the first iteration of which was launched two years ago.

The news comes from Cleartrip's own blog post, which states, "Cleartrip for iPad is beautifully adapted and compliments the core design language that we've established with our iPhone App. With a larger screen, this takes the Cleartrip experience on iOS to a whole new level."

It has been understood that the new Cleartrip app for iPad devices is a 'Universal app' that shares most of the functionalities that is available on its iPhone app version (notably, the train booking and cancellation feature is absent from the iPad app). This would lead to faster and simultaneous updates for both apps.

Beside hotel and flight bookings and cancellations, the Cleartrip for iPad app includes full screen map feature and 'Gravity View' that lets users see snapshots of their selected hotels.

Cleartrip earlier this month also announced in-app cancellation feature for flight, hotels and trains for both Android and iOS apps. "Today, we're announcing the availability of in-app cancellations for your flight, hotel and train bookings through Cleartrip's Android and iOS apps. We're proud to say that this is one more in a long line of firsts from Cleartrip - we're the first online travel company in India (if not the world) to offer cancellations in mobile apps," mentioned the blog post.

Users can cancel tickets for individual passengers and can view the total money that will be refunded before the final cancellation.

The Cleartrip app for iPad can be downloaded from the App Store and is compatible with devices running iOS 7.0 or later.
