Microsoft has released its new health-centric app for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 OS, dubbed Bing Health & Fitness.

The Bing Health & Fitness application is in its pre-release Beta version and is out solely for testing purposes. Since the app is in Beta version, Microsoft has stated, "the application may have limited functionality or have known issues," on the Windows Phone 8 app page.

The Bing Health & Fitness app comes with a number of features focussed on user's overall health, their nutrition intake, calories, workout trends and more. The app includes more than 100,000 foods to track the user's daily calorie routine, nutrition information for more than 300,000 food items, health indicators, symptom checker, information on human body in a 3D visualisation, exercise tracker along with video browsing for workouts and yoga poses.

It has been also mentioned that for Windows Phone 8 OS users of the Bing Health & Fitness app, one can "use the GPS tracker to record time, distance, pace and calories burned while you walk, run, bike and do other activities."

Microsoft has also warned users not to download the Bing Health & Fitness app, as it is currently under testing stages. However, some of the users have already downloaded the app and have started giving feedbacks on the comments section. "You can't add in your weight and you can't add different foods," states one of the user. "Well done love that its all in one app but there is no way to log any other exercise besides walking or running," adds another user. The app has also started getting positive response in most of the comments.

However, since the Bing Health & Fitness app is still under testing, the final version might come with better features and include the missing functionalities.

Microsoft's Bing Health & Fitness app can be downloaded from Windows Phone 8 OS and Windows 8 OS app market.
