Apple last month rolled out a home screen widget for Android users as a part of an update for Apple Music. Now, the Cupertino-based tech firm has started seeding another update for its Android app, bringing support for family sharing and music videos.

Apple Music v0.9.8 for Android brings near feature parity with the company's Apple Music app for iOS. The Family Sharing support lets users add up to six members for $14.99 (Rs. 190 in India) and share the purchased content with them. This way parents can also keep a control on their kid's purchases. The base fare for the membership costs $9.99 (Rs. 120 in India).

The updated Apple Music app for Android now also lets users view music videos and other general videos inside the app. "You can now enjoy thousands of music videos on Apple Music-view popular ones featured in New or search for the music videos from your favourite artists," says the app listing.

The updated Apple Music Android app can be downloaded from Google Play.

Last month, the Apple Music update for Android brought a home screen widget. The widget lets Android users pause or play songs along with the option to change to the next or previous track. The update also let Android users add songs from the Apple Music catalogue to playlists without having to add it to their library. The app also supports gift cards. The feature can be accessed from the app settings. Earlier this week, Apple at its Q1 2016 earnings conference call revealed it now had 13 million subscribers of Apple Music, globally.
