The announcement came via a company blog stating that for the first time, users can play the swine smashing game on their Smart TV using Samsung's Motion Control Technology.
Users can experience gameplay by waving their hands to fling the birds and equip them with their unique powers. The Angry Birds app is free and will come pre-installed on Samsung 2012 Smart Interaction enabled models.
Sharing more about the global announcement, Kyungsik Lee, VP Visual Display Business said, ""Samsung Smart TV will be the first TV to offer the world's most popular game and set a new standard in the industry by offering a game for Smart TVs controlled by hand gestures. Samsung will continue to develop various content that brings family members together in front of the TV, alloying consumers to enjoy new experiences via Samsung Smart TVs."
The game has been a huge hit in the mobile arena since its launch in November 2009. Latest iterations of the game like Angry Birds Space has been downloaded a 100 million times in just 76 days. Not just that, the game is now extending to the PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo 3DS as well.
