As per a list published by Reddit, there are nearly sixteen apps which include Google Play Services, Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Earth, Translate, Chrome, Hangouts (announced, not released yet), Goggles, Play Magazines, Keep, Wallet, Blogger, Google+, Analytics, Fiber and Snapseed that have been updated within 72 hours (October 28-October 30). The site also reveals that all the updated Google apps are showing October 29 as the last date of the update, however; there is no changelog released by Google.
The app updates in Google are usually not seen as a major hint for anything big, but when a bunch of Google apps get updated within days, this hints that the search engine giant might be up to something big.
It is expected that the next Nexus smartphone and Nexus 10 tablet would run Android 4.4 KitKat, and that all three are due to be launched at an event expected on November 1.
Recently, Google unintentionally listed the Nexus 5 smartphone on the Play Store with pricing, and soon after the rumoured Nexus 10 tablet was also spotted at the Play Store.
