Adobe on Tuesday announced Box and Microsoft OneDrive integrations, allowing users to connect their accounts with Document Cloud and other Adobe services to enjoy additional features.
Adobe Document Cloud users with the new Box integrations can now connect their workflows between Adobe Document Cloud, Adobe Sign, and Box's enterprise content collaboration platform.
The new integrations will let Adobe and Box users access and save files from Adobe apps quicker than before. Users can now open and complete essential tasks on pdf files in Box using Adobe Acrobat DC and the free Acrobat Reader. Any annotations and edits will be saved in Box in real-time, and there will also be an option to select Box as the preferred cloud provider from the iOS document picker within Acrobat Reader mobile.
Users also get the ability to edit pdf files directly from Box. While previewing a pdf file in Box, users can now open and edit the file directly in Acrobat DC within few clicks. The updates will be automatically be saved in the Box account.
Box users will also be able to open Box files directly inside Adobe Sign for putting e-signatures on documents. "This builds on an existing integration between Adobe Sign and Box, which enables users to select files for e-signature from their Box account via the Adobe Sign Web service."
The ability to add a Box account to Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader on desktop will arrive by next month, while the Acrobat Reader mobile users on iOS will be able to select Box as their preferred cloud service starting June. In addition, the initial access to Acrobat DC and Adobe Sign from the Box website is expected by the end of next month along with a deeper integration by later this year.

Our collaboration with Box will help advance this cause, whether it's reviewing a new employee benefits handbook with HR stakeholders, sharing the latest creative mockup with your global ad agency, or sending a sales contract for signature by the CEO."
As for Microsoft, Adobe announced Document Cloud storage integrations with the OneDrive cloud storage service. Users would be able to work on pdf files stored in OneDrive directly from within the Adobe apps - Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader. Additionally, iOS users can also access pdf files saved OneDrive from Acrobat Reader mobile app via the universal document picker.
The feature to add a OneDrive account to Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader on desktop, and the ability for Acrobat Reader mobile users on iPhone and iPad to select OneDrive as their preferred cloud storage will arrive by the end of June this year.
