Adobe made a slew of announcements on Wednesday, including an an update to its Creative Cloud suite of applications, new hardware, as well as mobile apps, but the good news doesn't end there. The company has also announced a plan that offers access to Lightroom and Photoshop - the two Adobe apps that photographers perhaps love the most - at a significant discount compared to its earlier plans.

Under the newly announced Creative Cloud Photography Plan, users will get access to Photoshop on the desktop (Photoshop CC) and iPad (Photoshop Mix) as well as Lightroom on the desktop, tablets, mobiles, and Web for Rs. 499 per month plus taxes. This makes it a very attractive proposition for someone looking to use only these apps, as Adobe's Creative Cloud individual plans that offer access to all CC applications start at Rs. 2,700 per month.

While Creative Cloud for Teams has been available in India at Rs. 4,292 per month, the company has now announced dedicated offerings for enterprise and education customers.

Adobe Creative Cloud for enterprise is an offering designed specifically for large-scale software deployments that works with other Adobe enterprise offerings such as Adobe Marketing Cloud, Acrobat, Adobe Anywhere and Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. Enterprise customers will get more services with collaboration and file storage, expanded options for deployment and a new dashboard for managing users and entitlements.

For education, Adobe now has a device-based licensing offer for classrooms and labs, which allows multiple users to access software on a single device rather than tying it to an individual with an Adobe ID, critical in an environment where students come and go.
