The latest update to Creative Cloud brings a range of features to the platform. Some of them are:
New versions of applications: Adobe in May had announced that Adobe's popular Creative Suite will be discontinued with the company's focus concentrated on Creative Cloud. It had hence, launched new versions of its tools for the Creative Cloud. The update brings the latest versions of Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, InDesign CC, Adobe Muse CC, Dreamweaver CC, Edge Animate CC, Adobe Premiere Pro CC, After Effects CC, and more adding to a total of 30 tools and services to the Creative Cloud.
Behance integration: The upgrade to Creative Cloud also brings in Behance integration on to the platform. Behance is an online creative community that design professionals can use to showcase their work portfolio. With Behance now integrated to the Creative Cloud, you can also share you work direct through a CC app.
Cross-PC application sync: The new CC app comes with the ability to sync application settings to Creative Cloud. Hence, if you use multiple machines (be it a Windows PC or a Mac) you can synchronise workspace settings such as preferences, presets, brushes and libraries on to the Cloud.
Kuler: Adobe also introduced the new Adobe Kuler iPhone app as a part of the Creative Cloud. Kuler a service that lets you create colour themes. With the web application now also available on iPhone, you can share your color themes and explore others available on the Kuler website from your phone. You can also sync your favourite themes, and they'll be accessible immediately in Illustrator CC.
New Tutorials: Adobe has also added over 200 new tutorials to Creative Cloud Learn.
If you are an existing Creative Cloud member then you don't need to do anything, you'll just get the new apps and features. For enterprise and education customers, Adobe expects to make the services available on June 21. As announced previously, the complete subscription to the service is available for Rs.2,700/month and other plans start at Rs. 1,000/month.
Along with the set of features of the new upgrade, Adobe also announced the features that would be coming in the next update of the Creative Cloud. These include:
File syncing: File syncing will be available on the desktop including file versioning and private folder sharing. With file versioning every version layer will be maintained and past versions of the file will be saved.
Typekit fonts: With Typekit fonts available to CC members, they will soon have access to over 700 fonts that can be synced to your machine if desired.
New Photoshop technology: A new technology for Photoshop that automatically sizes, crops, and creates image assets for the web from a document's layers will be introduced.
Creative Cloud on iOS: A Creative Cloud app for iOS to keep your Creative Cloud synced on mobile.
