The price is rising from 700 to 1000$. I don't know why. But the computer is very good. Especially it is very light. But Touch screen is somehow useless and seldom be used.

I Purchased this model from an offline retail chain , That was after waiting for 7 Days that too the last piece leftThe best part of the product is its light weight and elegant looks , This is the reason I purchased .Apart from this , The sound is there which will suddenly attract you , The good part is its magnesium body.I am not sure why these sellers are selling it at such a high price . You should have googled its price 4 days back and could see , Till I bought itGood Model I feel till now , Lets c how good it does in long run

Great laptop, super light, fast and agile
LeeM (Dec 12, 2019)
on Amazon
This laptop is great for the traveling professional who wants a super fast, super light system for a reasonably good price, with an attractive design. It's a small powerhouse that fits easily into your shoulder bag, has long-lasting battery life and supports a variety of multi-media experiences with excellent quality. The only thing that would make this machine perfect is if it was solid state. An excellent choice for an all-around great laptop.

Good product but disappointing battery backup
Dvnm (Sep 24, 2020)

The battery life is not at all good. In the specifications, it says that average life as about 8 hours, but mine doesn't last even for 2 hours right from the beginning. I pretty disappointed about this. But otherwise I am happy I purchased this. If only the battery life was as good as it is mentioned in the specs, this laptop would have been one of the best I have ever owned. Earlier to this one, I had Acer Aspire and there also, the battery life was quite bad. I used to get 1.5 hours tops after full charging which is the same in this case also.

Great concept, too flimsy for real use
San Diegan (Jan 12, 2019)

Initially I was really happy with this laptop, model SF514-52T-50AQ, which I got for $700, a steal. You get good standard specs for late 2018 and early 2019 laptops (8th generation i5, 8GB RAM, 256 GB SSD) with a 14 inch touchscreen, and all under 1 kg (under 2.2 lb). It is the lightest 14-inch laptop in the world. Not even the acclaimed LG Gram is so light. Acer archives this, not by cutting on motherboard or components, but by using a very light shell or housing and by having no glass in front of the touchscreen. Unfortunately, these are also this laptop's Achilles' Heel.My Swift 5 was not fully flat, sitting on only three of its rubber feet. After some use, and with no action on my part, it bent and it started to sit on all four feet. This bend-ability can't be good for its components. Also, the laptop crashed every few hours. Event Viewer showed some hardware errors before each crash. Windows repair with SFC and DISM didn't find any issues. Resetting and reinstalling everything didn't change the situation. One dead pixel further pushed me to part ways. So, I did I final reset and returned it. I have not looked back. I am now using an Acer Swift 3 15.6" which is 75% heavier but much sturdier. This is a laptop for someone who will often carry it around and thus would pay a premium for its unreal low weight, but the more it is carried around, the more likely internal components will start to fail due to its potentially worrisome structural integrity.

Couple of issues otherwise would have been great laptop
Mark Mihm (Dec 30, 2018)

Laptop form, weight, and specs are great. Nice display. Mine had the space bar issue where it wouldn't register keystrokes if hit on the left side or the right side. It needed to be hit towards the middle. After a few days of trying to adjust where my thumb hit, it was enough for me to send the device back. Couple of other annoyances, the speakers vibrate above 70% and the fan occasionally would make a strange electrical noise. I really liked the laptop but just couldn't live with the space bar not registering keystrokes consistently.

Don't Buy From This Vendor - StahrrEletronics
Jeffrey S. Kline (Nov 14, 2019)
on Amazon
Purchased as Open Box purchase with a condition of Like-New. Out of the box the computer seemed fine. Once we started to install software, it quickly became apparent that the notebook had keyboard and/or motherboard issues in that is responded erratically to keyboard and mouse instructions. Would strongly recommend not buying this product (or others) from StahrrEletronics.

Broken on arrival. When I opened it to operate the laptop I was shown an error with a strange name. (00030 or something like that). I worked with Acer support and they could not fix it. They said I could send it back for them to fix; I sent it back to Amazon instead.
