I used the laptop for over 2 years now before my baby boy was born. I paid 50k in Flipkart. My Model is Ph315-51. I got people complaining but couldn't understand myself whether my model is different or by luck my LAPTOP is like a tank. I would like to give few pros and cons this way for better understanding.
PROS:
1. Its beautiful and looks very premium. The boards and keypads are above others. It feel solid and every inch of the laptop is a masterpiece. Color of the laptop look and feels like a bad ass predator that is very rare but feel precise. The key boards are something you don't see in common laptops.
2. Built quality is like a tank. I don't know why people says that it is not durable. My son is a toddler now who is as crazy as me for laptop. He will climb on my lap and slam the keyboards as heavy as he could( he is very heavy and stronger than my neighbor's child) and slam it and close it and open it again and again. He did it at least once in a day for one month. BUT my laptop is as good as new. It could take all type of abuse my boy would have meted on it. It fall from table once and produced a screeching sound from the HDD but alright again after a slight patting on the back. I even thought its as tough as the predator it self(lol)
3. I m having one of the most expensive hobby in the world. I do photography and video editing. I usually play with Adobe Premiere pro and After Effect with Lightroom that needs a blazing fast tank like computers. I shoot 6k videos encoded and grilled into my predator. That's the load this mule has carried for me. Till today it don't fail me yet(before I assembled desktop with Ryzen and left it) I like it so far.
4. The screen is not great BUT greater than my HP days. The display is better than Chinese phones which means it is great. It is outstanding amongst the promising 4k monitors in the market. I like this too.
5.usb 3.0, extendable ethernet port, punchy keyboard, big and dedicated numbering keyboard, lighted keyboard, 3 usb port, one hdmi port etc is enough to play this generation laptop.
CONS:
1. Battery is too underpower.
2. Its heavy 2.7 kg
3.Fan is noisy sometime.
4. I don't know other weaknesses.
I updated the SSD from 120GB ( which is just like a joke )to Crucial P1 1TB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD, I upgrade the RAM to 16GB. I bought a new Predator Orion 5000 for my table and proud having both laptop and Desktop.

One of the best Gaming laptops for the price

I see a ton of negative reviews, ans I don't know why. This laptop has served me for over two years and confinues to be an amazing laptop for the price. I still use it for gaming and it can handle heavy duty work as well. It's heavy, no doubt but if you expected a light gaming laptop then it's your fault. Excellent backlit keyboard, responsive trackpad.Acer Predator sense is useful while gaming. I also use the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility software to underclock and keep temperature low. Afaik it hasn't affected my FPS or performance, so it's a win-win.Make sure to regularly clean your laptop, this one is very easy to pry open and clean. 100% recommend this laptop for the price vs performance.
