Working excellent till now, however since the gpu is new there is currently a little less support from AMD which will definitely improve in the future. Also I am not able to register it at Acer website, since it is not recognizing the serial number for some reason, will probably talk to their customer service later. Edit - The Acer customer representative replied promptly and I successfully registered my laptop, yay! I'm sure the red fans will be excited.

best budget gaming laptop

got the lap today. it's genuine and I have registered on Acer website. specifications are accurate. tried GTA 5 at ultra settings everything maxed out got 30fps. and at high got 40-60fps. windows is responsive, touchpad is precise, built quality is perfect. the display panel is the best I have seen in a laptop of this price range the whites have a different tone than my phone though actually there is nothing to complain about this laptop at this price range. I'm still wondering how they can sell at this price.

Updated review after usage of one month: - Good display (nice color reproduction) - Good audio quality due to Dolby (both in speakers and headphones) - Good cpu performance (ease of multitasking) - Awesome gaming performance (played Tomb Raider: Survival Edition at 60 fps on ultra settings) - Average battery backup (around 3 hours for normal usage) (Can't complain looking at its other amazing features) - Worth every penny - Go for it without any hesitation

all games play good in 1080 the only problem is the heating issue..you have to put the cooling fans to max to run all games with out any throttling..if the heat is more all the games lag bcz the processor clock speed decreses as the heat increases so it is compulsory to run the cooling fans at max

amazing product for gaming in this range

Just an amazing gaming machine for low budget gamers, if you have not that much enough budget so don't waste your time, just go for it. Some good features of the laptops are : pretty good IPS full HD display in this budget type c 3.1 port backlit keyboard which look awesome in dark processor and graphics card and ram are much enough for a beginner or medium gamers, and it can perform multitasking, processing, video editing, rendering smoothly compatible for college students, youtubers and engineers although whole body frame is of plastic, but built quality and finishing are killer some annoying features are as follows : battery is not got good enough but can't expect a good battery life for a laptop, it barely stand 4 hours on browsing and internet surfing, however you can customize some settings to increase battery life but that doesn't add up any more hour in your work. Doesn't come with ms office at beginning boot up time was very fast, nearly 15 sec, but after updating all the drivers it's boot up time increases to 1-2 minutes

The reason why your games lag is because the computer uses the integrated ryzen gpu by default, to change it to the RX 560 X you must go into Radeon settings and tweak some settings. The product is probably worth 65K The DISPLAY is amazing(1080p with matte finish) The RGB keyboard is pretty good Battery is good as it is a 4cell li-ion battery FIFA 18 can be played at ultra settings GPU is good.

nice budget gaming laptop but Battery backup is poor.

The laptop is very good. Ventilation and cooling makes gaming efficient. Graphics are better than 1050gtx, but for playing games without lag goto Radeon settings ,then to gaming and add the game. After this goto system->switchable graphics-> change from running apps to installed apps. Select the game icon or if not present browse it and use high performance this will make the laptop use rx560 as graphics processor and not the integrated one and games run without any lag. Also use fans at max speed for better performance. The processor is very fast comparable to i5 7300hq even better. Overall it is a good gaming laptop in budget and worth buying.

An awesome product....design and material finish is very good....Amd Ryzen 5 is on par with Intel i5 7300HQ....and Amd Rx 560X has better Dx12 performance than Nvidia Gtx 1050.....Laptop heats up while playing game but nothing serious....Battery could be better but considering this is a gaming laptop its acceptable...Overall a great product....go for it... Thanx Acer & Flipkart.

Awesome Product!!!!! I bought this gaming beast and tested it for a month before writing this review. -> Excellent performance. -> Excellent design. -> Good quality display. -> Fairly good battery. There is no reason to be doubtful about the switchable graphics. The drivers switch graphics elegantly. The APU(AMD Ryzen 5 2500u+Radeon RX Vega 8 integrated graphics)inside this version of Acer Nitro 5 is fantastic. I strongly recommend this product to everyone as it is one of the best budget gaming laptops.

Awesome gaming performance, all my games so far played are smooth as butter!!

Used it for 10 days now. Design is brilliant, the top surface has Carbon Fibre like finish and LED backlit keyboard also looks good. It has a full size keyboard which is good, although the buttons are a bit small. The full HD screen is nice to view from all angles and is bright enough for good quality viewing at full brightness. Acer has bundled Nitro Sense software with it which is good for easily switching performance profiles and to monitor the health of the laptop. I haven't played any game or have done any graphics intensive work on it yet so can't speak much about the GPU or CPU performance at heavy workload. The battery life could have been better, I have got about 3 hours of life with regular usage i.e using MS office and I feel like the battery drain a bit faster than expected. The trackpad is very responsive and it does have 2 tactile keys at the bottom to work as left and right click although you can't see them due to the finish. One thing that I don't like about it is the length of the power cord which is laughably short, you'll need to be sitting within a few feet of a power source. Since I haven't done any gaming yet so can't say much about heading, although I have not faced any hearing issues with normal usage yet. Overall I feel like this is a good deal for the price at which I got it @ 45k. There is no better laptop at this price range spec wise and since it has been launched in July 2018 it's the latest budget gaming laptop as of now.

Note that this beast in not intel powered... But it is powered by ryzen 5 by amd which bit faster than intel i5 8th generation.... N graphic is powerful than nvidia 940mx but lower than 1050ti.. So at 50k its best entry level gaming package... So go for it. Its been 3months now...the laptop is beast.

Its been over two weeks since I got this laptop and it simply is the best @50k I was quite skeptical about the gpu after reading that rx560x was the mobile version of the rx560 but it is performing really well on par with the 65k laptop with gtx1050 my friend bought.I will rate this product in each category DESIGN AND BUILD:5/5(The build quality considering a gaming laptop in this price range is amazing) KEYBOARD AND TRACKPAD:4.5/5(Very good but trackpad is a bit mushy and no way to tell if caps in on/off) DISPLAY:5/5(The display is the same one as found on the much expensive helios 300) THERMALS AND THROTTLING:5/5(The thermals are good unlike the new MacBook lol but the one with gtx has throttling as my friend said) PORTS:5/5(Has every port ull need as a regular person but no dvd drive but it is for a better cooling system and to accommodate the gpu inside) WEBCAM:4/5(Decent though audio capture is good) SPEAKERS AND HEADPHONE OUTPUT:5/5(Speaker awesome if ur not on bed sofa etc because speaker gets muffled but awesome loud and clear when using on lap or table PERFORMANCE:6/5(THE BEST GPU/CPU COMBO UNDER 50K HANDS DOWN , if you are outside don't have powerbrick still want to play games the integrated vega 8 is more powerful than a 940mx while using lot less power it doesn't even get warm while playing on vega 8!!!! BATTERY LIFE:2/5(Meh but expected as it is gaming laptop with amazing specs) CONCLUSION: The best gaming laptop under 60k and also all the parts used inside are not cheap they use Kingston ram ,wd hdd, Lg made display etc..

One Word.. Awsome...!! I purchased this laptop even before it was reviewed or bought by anyone on flipkart. I previously was having AMD A10 laptop so without any doubt or second Thought i went for Ryzen 5. Performance is equivalent to intel i5 8th Gen. Display is awsome crystal clear. Sound from speakers is lovely.. Loved to listen songs on it for hours. BTW.. I got it in v cheap deal from Flipkart @48000/- after applying for emi through hdfc cc, which was a win win deal for this laptop. just go for it. without any second Thought.

A beast in gaming! i have been using this for almost 3 weeks now. i play Grid in ultra mode graphics without any lag. you just need to change the graphic option to graphics card from the default one. Pros : 1. Very efficient cooling ( after 4 hours of continuous playing, temp is 54c when AC is on. When AC off it goes upto 67C) 2. Very efficient processor much much better than intel. 3. Display is beyond expectations ( play any video in HD mode and 1920 resolution) 4.Basically very fast whatever you do. just make sure you partition the hard disk as it comes with a single drive. 5. backlit keyboard is great. Cons : 1. you need to switch off regular updates of windows and co or else booting time increases. 2. sound effect is great with various modes but low sound if u stay in a metro. connect to good headphones or speaker for best experience. 3. Charger length is comparatively short and battery backup not much . avg 2 hours if u play, max 4 hours if u work. Overall it can be compared to 70K intel laptops because my flatmate has the same one with intel i7 5th gen. And the price is much affordable.
