Like: weighs about 2.5lbs, easy to carry in backpack without need of additional case/sleeve, runs cool, long battery, matte screen so no reflections of people in lecture hall/classWhat I use laptop for: primarily taking pictures of my textbooks and notes. Most of what i do are on the web so this laptop fits my current needs.Chrome OS: it took the laptop about 30mins to update but it updated to the current Chrome OS 69.0.3497.95. I did not encounter any issues with web store apps as stated by others.CPU: the cpu is faster than Celeron N3350 which are found on current chromebooks in this price range.Dislike: 1366x768 screen resolution & non back-lit keyboard. Since im reading my textbooks so it is okay. This laptop not for entertainment.Overall: the laptop looks great, feels sturdy. I'm happy with my purchase.

Glad I switched to Chrome! This is a great laptop with fast performance and stability. Simple to use yet fully functional, this highpowered system does all I want it to and more. The best part is I was able to install my favorite Android apps which work fine (except the Kindle app). Now my phone and laptop almost mirror each other so transitioning is easy. Very clear 1080 HD display which can be adjusted for better viewing. If you're Google oriented, this is for you.

Runs smoothly, good size for kids. Have used it few times but husband says it?s functional.

I bought this Chromebook as a replacement for an smaller, older Chromebook.I was amazed when I signed in when all my icons in the task bar, bookmarks bar, bookmarks, all my e-mails from 3 different accounts appeared almost instantly.I highly recommend Chromebooks, so easy to use, super fast and very reasonably priced.Also, 12 hr. battery life!ETA: Someone mentioned that all functions are carried out using keyboard codes to do different tasks but you don't have to use keyboard codes if you prefer right/left clicking. I think a Chromebook is far easier to use than Windows 10 and I use both OS's.

Did some research and choose this chrome book. Needed something not to heavy or wide. Fits nicely in my bag. Super fast. My daughter liked it so much I got her one for school.

Purchased this to provide easy access to the web and email. Solid security; quick start up. Meets my needs nicely.

Very economical laptop the family can use for homework, bills, web surfing.

I want to start by saying that I am pretty tech savvy, and I did a TON of research before purchasing this Chromebook. I googled "Best Chromebooks for under $300, and I read EVERY review I could find. I Have owned two laptops and several desktops and realized that a Chromebook would meet all my needs. I am a teacher, and my lesson plans and work are done on Google Chrome. I am totally thrilled with the quality of the product. It is VERY light weight, which was also very important to me. I am able to stream movies from Hulu on it. It has an HDMI port, so I am able to stream and watch movies on my HD television with no problem whatsoever. I can surf the net and do everything I need to do on Google Drive (email, presentations, you name it)! However, you must be connected to WiFi for this to work. I highly recommend this device. I am a month in and have not had a single issue.Pros: Lightweight, easy to use, very fast, excellent picture quality, nice low price.Cons: You cannot load MicrosoftWord, etc., on it. So long as you are strictly working online and through Wifi, you are good to go.

Google Chromebook, replacement for Toshiba 17" laptop with a terminal motherboard.

I had an ASUS chromebook on which the keyboard quit working. The Acer has a better picture and works faster than the ASUS.

Boot up time is great. Battery seems to stay up for quite some time. Screen brightness is OK but wished it was a little brighter. Use it daily and love not waiting for it to boot up. Don't seem to have any issues with using it with my wireless printer either,

They could do better with the camera but I am no picture person so I don?t really care.

Great machine, easy to use, especially for internet and playing around. It saves my regular computer from the stress of audiobooks and solitaire while surfing.

NOT a 2018 Chromebook as stated in the title. I was expecting a Chromebook manufactured in late 2017 or 2018. This particular Chromebook was manufactured in August of 2016. Very misleading title......definitely not the "2018 Newest". The Chromebook does seem to be pretty decent though.

I use it just to browse the web, emails and youtube and it does all that pretty well. After owning this Chromebook for about a year it won't come on any more. Wasted my money!

Exactly as described I would highly recommend it very easy to use.

General mobile use; liked startup speed, chrome OS is pretty easy to get used to, good # of ports. Forced me to explore some of the google productivity apps, which are unexpectedly useful.didn't like; it is a bit slow during use, but considering the price its better than I expected. biggest complaint is the office apps through chrome - they lack a lot of features I'm used to.
