Best Value for Money Laptop

I have been using, configuring and building hardware for over a decade now and am so pleased with this laptop. It seems to have everything that one needs at a price point of about 23k. I do see a lot of negative cribs from the previous reviewers, but all of those problems are easily solvable and the reviewers simply did not know what to do. Read on.PROs:1. It has a user serviceable back cover for changing the hard drive to a ssd or to add and subtract ram. Two screws are all there is to remove the back panel to change the HDD and RAM.2. It had one stick of 4gb DDR4 ram. I think previous productions of the 6th generation cpu had DDR3 as a few reviewers have mentioned, but the new ones after 2017 are surely DDR4. Remember that the 6th generation can take both DDR3 and DDR4, so the manufacturer probably changed it in 2017. Little bit of your luck there. And yes, either way there is one slot free to add more memory.3. The sound is just amazing. Proper stereo with two small speakers in the bottom.4. The LED monitor is as good as any I have seen in the 20k-30k range. Of course not a full HD, but pretty bright and clear.5. The battery is awesome, as I type this, it is showing me 7 hours left on the battery. Do note that I get a little more gain because I swapped the mechanical hard drive with a efficient SSD.6. All the drivers for Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 are in the DVD that comes with the laptop. If you manually search for the drivers in the DVD, they are all there and work great on Windows 8.1 x64, but the acer tool when run says they are only for Windows 10 and shows nothing for W8.1. I only needed to download the VGA display driver for the Intel 520 from the Intel site.7. No noise at all. Fan is almost zero noise, seems like it is hard to believe that a i3 is running there, but then at 15w, the 6th generation i3 processor is really cool.8. Unlike what most reviewers are saying, the touch pad works perfectly in any OS. Just press F2 at boot time to change the bios setting for the touch bad to basic from advanced and it works everywhere. Once the drivers are in, then you can revert back to advanced if you need gestures. I never turned it back, a fully functioning touch pad is more usefull than a gesture driven one for me.Cons :1. Internal battery. I just dont like those as they tend to go bad over the years.2. Keyboard has some strange layout. The enter key is smaller than I would like and the power button is actually the top right most button on the existing keyboard !And that is it. With a 120gb SSD upgrade, the laptop is flying. Cool as a cucumber. And feels great in the hand. Close your eyes and get this.

The computer is sleek, and feels very sturdy. The keys have a good feel to them and the trackpad is great.Do note that we had trouble installing drivers for Windows 8 and had to install Windows 10 to get the components working as they should. The website does not have any Windows 8 drivers; there were only Windows 10 drivers available.
