Super fast, rugged and reliable laptop!

I purchased this laptop in July, 2017 and have been VERY pleased with it so far! It is by far the fastest computer I have ever purchased! We use this computer in our home business and we have never had any type of negative issues while it has been in use. We are going to replace our original "dinosaur" laptop with another one of these ACER laptops, probably this week! They are by far the best value for a 17.3" laptop that we have found so far on Amazon or elsewhere with the specifications on this machine! We also purchased an external DVD drive ($24.97) on the off chance that we might need to add an old program, but so far we have only had to use it to install the printer program. We also purchased an external 500gb SSD drive for additional storage and backup. We travel often and do work on the road and the SSD drives have been performing exactly as expected with all the bumps we go over on the roads less traveled!

Recently started work as a Pen Tester, and this is my Pen Testing lap top. Good value for the money.

Keybord feels good, palm rests are confortable

Powerful. Multitask doing productivity, docs, youtube. Keybord feels good, palm rests are confortable. Takes about 2 hours to fully charge. Poor battery life. Decent screen. Good sound. Heavy and big to carry. This is a borderline workstation. It is 17.3 inches big and 6lbs. Responsive track pad.

Laptop has been performing very well, it provides portability for watching Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Directv over my wifi on the place. I HAVE OTHER DEVICES, android and smaller laptops, but the graphics and screen size are so much better! This Aspire E5 is light and easy to move around, battery life has been more than adequate.

I've been using this laptop for about 2 months now and I'm going to have to say that I regret buying it. I mostly use it for web browsing and some game playing. It's good for one but bad for the other. For starters, it seems like some of the bloatware already installed when it's removed is causing an issue where I'll get occasional Windows crashes. Could happen if I'm playing a game or just watching a video on Youtube. Secondly, the SSD is really nice, but at 128GB you aren't going to be able to load much. Yes, I know I can get expandable storage, but still. The Nvidia Geforce 940MX is a pretty out of date video card, it'll work for basic settings for most anything but don't expect to be pushing high frame rates on like Rise of the Tomb Raider or anything. Construction is alright, keyboard is okay by my standards, can't really give much input on the touchpad because I plug an external mouse in, screen is pretty good.
